I've had the fortune to have worked with Dr. Foster as a patient and as the family member of a patient. He instinctively understands that family members will worry and came to let me know how my family member was doing in the surgery and when he was ready to close up and nearly done. As a patient, he listened to me and really paid attention to my concerns, made sure I got an Anesthesiologist that would listen as well (I'm allergic to general anesthetic), in fact he took notes. I am a very demanding patient advocate and a very demanding patient, having done my own research ahead of time and being very self aware. Never, ever did he come across as arrogant or dismiss my concerns. He is very personable, approachable, and caring. Very rare traits in good surgeons. And his care for the family members was consistent when I was in surgery, he made sure to keep my family members updated as well, easing any concerns they had. Strongly recommend him to anyone needing a surgical intervention.

Dr Foster performed a multi hernia surgery 2 1/2 years ago and I have never been treated as well as I was from him and his staff. I was very apprehensive going into the surgery as I had had several hernia surgeries in the past. He took care of the problem and was more caring than any other surgeon I had ever had, even calling me personally to check on me. I hope he continues to practice for a very long time because I won't go to any other surgeon.

Dr. Foster is very kind and professional. I had to have my thyroid gland removed due to papilliary thyroid cancer, and he scheduled me for surgery within one week of the consult appointment. He then personally called me four days later with good news on the pathology results.
