Dr. Anthony Nicholas Gentile, MD

Dr gentile is really an excellent caring doctor. He delieverd both of my babies. Ive had very rough pregnancies with both if my children and he did every possible thing to make sure my babies made it into the world safely. He takes his time with each paitent, and througly explains anything you might need. He makes things less awkward with his cirny jokes. Like the awful funny names he suggets to name your children. He has a great team of ladies that work in his office as well.

This is my 4th child and I wish I would have had all my kids with him. He is wonderful and thorough and addressed all concerns. He explains everything clearly and doesn't ever talk down with that old "who's the Dr. here" attitude.

Dr. Anthony Gentile is an amazing doctor his care and concern for his patients is just beyond expected. He is my current OB/Gynecologist that over saw my case during my pregnancy and after and the care that I received was awesome. Not only did I see him during my pregnancy but also prior to my pregnancy I had issues with Fibroids and the care and education that he provided for that was phenomenal! A friend/co-worker recommended him and I have recommended him to others and will continue to recommend him and remain in his care. He is thorough and takes his time to answer questions and educate you something that I have not experienced before. It’s hard to find a doctor in this specialty that is dedicated and committed to providing the best care to his patients and making certain that the paitient has a clear and concise understanding of everything. If you have issues with Fibroids or trying to conceive or just for prenatal care I highly recommend him!

I do not recommend him. 7 years ago I had a hysterectomy for very large fibroids. On my last ultrasound my ovaries looked good and I don't have a family Hx of ovarian cancer, I told him I wanted to keep them. He argued with me that he wanted to take them out to avoid future ovarian cancer diagnosis. I stood my ground...he made a deal with me that when he went in he''d leave them if they looked okay. Well...he had already made his mind up...he took them out telling me they looked bad...the biopsy report said 'grossly unremarkable' the doctor at Northwestern said he should have NEVER take them out as ovarian cancer is very rare, especially w/o a family Hx of it and removing them greatly increased the risk of several common disease...including certain cancers! I already am suffering some of the consequences of not having them! Thanks for nothing...should have walked away from him...I kick myself in the butt every day!!!

He is never on time. Every single time I have been to his office it has been a 1.5 to 2 hour wait to even be seen. He just doesn't care to keep his patients (with small kids and babies) waiting. So if you don't mind waiting he is a wonderful Doctor, just come prepared to sit...and sit.....and sit in the waiting room.

I was referred to Dr. Gentile for my second pregnancy because my other OB had moved. At first I didn't think that he listened to me well and seemed not to care, but as I went for my visits over the 7 months I learned he just has a different way of communicating that some people find gruff or rude or disinterested. He just has a flat, dry tone when he explains things that you have to get used to. But when my last weeks of pregnancy went downhill fast I was in great hands for my emergency c section. He is a skilled doctor and exceptionally thorough. You will get great care from this doctor.

Dr. Gentile is a great OB. He delivered my first daughter and will be delivering my second in about a month. Answers all my questions and makes sure im comfortable. I would recommend him to anybody!

I went to him for a 2nd opinion and he found that I had stage 2 cervical cancer ! He got me into my oncologist the day after my surgery! I tell everyone that Dr. Gentile saved my life !

I'm reading these derogatory reviews, and it sickens me. I am in the medical field as well, and take great care and judgement in choosing a physician. Dr. Anthony Gentile is a great doctor. He delivered my son 19 years ago. He is very personable and extremely thorough. He performed a hysterectomy and left oophorectomy last year. Zero problems. Excellent patient care and follow up care. I now have a suspected cancerous mass in the remaining ovary. He is on top of everything, being very careful and thorough, and has ordered all necessary tests and cancer markers. There is NOTHING perverted about him. It makes me sick to read that. He treats his patients like friends, appropriately so, NEVER inappropriately. He is not cold and clinical. He has excellent communication skills, and takes great time and care with his patients. The wait time is reasonable. He takes his time with patients, answering questions, discussing treatments, etc. If YOU required the extra care, you would appreciate that… in a physician, and not complain about the wait when the same courtesy is shown to others!
