Dr. Anthony James Geroulis, MD

Dr. Geroulis did an absolutely amazing job on my rhinoplasty revision. As this was my fourth revision, I made sure to schedule consultations with multiple surgeons in the Chicagoland area. The minute I walked into Dr. Geroulis' office, I immediately knew I was in the right place. From the professionalism and care from the office staff, to the thorough consultation, I knew Dr. Geroulis would be able to correct the damage caused by previous surgeons. I am ten days out from surgery and I am completely amazed by how fantastic my nose looks. Dr. Geroulis went above and beyond to make sure he understood what my expectations were, and he was honest about what he would be able to correct, as well as risks associated with the procedure. He and his staff were extremely caring, professional, and supportive throughout the whole process and on the day of surgery. I was amazed by the amount of time he spent with me pre and post op to make sure I was prepared for the surgery, as well as healing… nicely. He is not only a very skilled and knowledgeable surgeon, but he is extremely compassionate about his work and his patients. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Geroulis and his team for giving me the confidence I have been seeking for the past 15 years.

Around five years ago I had rhinoplasty done with a different doctor and around three years after I would always complain about having difficulty breathing. I visited several different doctors and all of them convinced me that this was an allergy problem. I took several allergy medications, washed my nose consistently, etc but still could’t breathe. I lived with this discomfort until around 6 months ago, I got a Ct scan- the results showed that my problem was a result of a structural issue with my nose most likely caused by my rhinoplasty in 2012. I decided that I was too young to live with the uncomfortable and scary feeling of not being able to breathe normally, so after doing a lot of research I chose Dr. Geroulis to perform my septoplasty. I chose to not change the appearance of my nose this time and just fix the structural problems inside. Therefore, the healing process was quicker/ I looked the same after. If you have the same problem, I highly recommend Dr. Geroulis. There was… very little downtime after surgery (i went to a party 9 days after surgery) and he gives you plenty of vitamins to take before/after to assist in the healing process. It’s almost two months post surgery and I already can breath without hesitating (couldn’t do this before) and am able to sleep much better at night. Overall, Dr Geroulis is a highly knowledgeable, professional, and kind doctor who genuinely cares about his patients. I was also very impressed and pleased by his knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Based on the success of my procedure (neck/lower face lift), I have no hesitation in urging anyone considering facial cosmetic surgery to schedule an appointment with Dr. Anthony Geroulis. The internet fully cites his widespread acclaim, academic affiliations, and skill and innovation in this field, all of which are impressive. But equally impressive is his artistic/aesthetic approach to surgery ---he's an award winning sculptor ---, which clearly distinguishes him from other surgeons. I didn't want a robotic, routine, purely technical approach to my surgery. I wanted a highly individualized, tailored procedure performed by someone not only technically skilled but also aesthetically attuned to the crucial need for facial symmetry and balance. Dr. Geroulis has that dual talent, and it's a clear and obvious edge in a competitive market. I also felt that he was personally invested in, and deeply motivated to, achieve the result I desired. His professional colleagues (anesthesiologist,… nurses) were similarly committed and skilled, and his support staff was cordial, conscientious, and responsive throughout the course of treatment.

I talked to a number of doctors before selecting Dr. Geroulis. He was very straightforward in explaining procedures and expectations. I look natural and most people think I'm 10-15 years younger than I am.

It is my pleasure to offer these remarks about Dr. Geroulis (lower facelift and upper eyelid surgery). As he stated to me on my initial consultation, his goal is to achieve a "natural" refreshed look, not tightened or windblown. The outcome was just as he described. I've been complimented that I look refreshed and youthful, perhaps had lost some weight, but no one suspects the nature of my procedure. I'm nearing my 60th birthday, I've recently been carded! As a physician, I have access to many fine referrals and am so glad I selected Dr. Geroulis. He's truly the best!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Geroulis and his entire staff. Exactly one week ago he performed a lower eyelid blepharoplasty with a partial chemical peel on me. The purpose was to remove fat pads and darkness under my eyes, that significantly aged me and gave me a very tired appearance (I'm 43 and too young to always look exhausted). This is something that has bothered me horribly for years. For the last 2 years I have been doing extensive research about the procedure and consulting with several doctors in Chicago (5 to be exact), but never felt comfortable to proceed with surgery until I met Dr. Geroulis. He is a true artist and very conservative in his approach. I was very concerned about looking like I had had plastic surgery "over-done" and "plastic", which is so common these days. He assured me that his philosophy is not to make people look "over-done", but to make them look like a youthful, more refreshed version of themselves. I am confident to say, that… already, 1 week post-op, that is exactly what he has done for me! Dr. Geroulis is a genuine, mindful, highly skilled surgeon who's primary focus is patient safety/comfort and satisfaction. He truly listened to me and was willing to consult with me as many times a necessary to answer all of my questions both prior to and following my surgery. He even gave my husband and me his personal cell phone # following surgery and insisted we reach out to him, at any time, if I experienced any complications or had questions. That is extremely rare from a doctor, typically you must call an after-hours answering service and sometimes wait quite a while before you get a call back. My overall experience was fantastic and very easy. I experienced no pain, his office was immaculate with a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Everyone addressed me by my first name and made me feel as if I was the only patient they had to attend to. Both Dr. Geroulis as well as the anesthesiologist contacted me at home the evening of my surgery to check on me and see if I had questions. I am so pleased with my decision to entrust Dr. Geroulis with my care. I highly recommend you consult with him if you are considering any sort of cosmetic surgery. He is an amazing surgeon!

There's a reason why you are seeing nothing but the highest ratings for this doctor on many reviews. We took our daughter to Dr. Geroulis a for nasal septal reconstruction procedure that was both medically and aesthetically necessary, and the results of our daughter's surgery were nothing short of outstandingly successful. From the very first moment we walked into Dr. Geroulis's office in Northfield, IL to meet with him and his staff, I immediately sensed we were in the best possible place for something like this. After all, having to deal with the prospect of our daughter undergoing a procedure that by will, by definition, permanently change her life was no small matter. Fortunately, a courteous, accommodating and professional staff not only made things easier, but also made us look forward to every visit prior to and after the surgery - something I did not necessarily expect. And speaking of Dr. Geroulis. He has 30+ years clinical, surgical and academic experience in the field… and it shows. It came as no surprise that he's the one from whom others learn. Along with this great doctor's highly professional demeanor, integrity and attention to our daughter's needs and willingness to answer any and all questions or concerns we had, my family and I are so happy and fortunate to have chosen Dr. Geroulis. So we very highly recommend Dr. Geroulis. If you are still undecided at this point, STOP! Please stop here and think no more other than to make the choice for Dr. Dr. Anthony Geroulis to be your plastic /cosmetic surgeon. I chose Dr. Geroulis based on trusted recommendations. I had a consultation about rhinoplasty. I hated the way my nose looked and I knew what I wanted it to look like. He gave me exactly what I wanted but it turned out even better then what I hoped. I am very satisfied with the outcome and I highly recommend him. He is truly an expert at what he does.

The best advice for undertaking any medical procedure is to try to work with the very best doctor. After having searched for TWELVE YEARS, I knew I had finally found the right cosmetic surgeon in Dr. Geroulis. His medical qualifications are excellent, as is his aesthetic sense. His staff, patient coordinator/nurse Lisa Merel, and nurse Cecelia, and receptionist Heather, are extremely competent, and so kind and patient. The changes that he, and his excellent staff made in my sadly declining face are significant and extensive, and yet completely natural. Pre- and post- surgical care are exceedingly thorough. I look like myself again. I am so happy, and ready for the rest of my life. I am so glad I waited until I met Dr. Geroulis. Worth every penny!
