Originally from Delaware, Dr. Immediata earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and received his dental degree in 1978 at the University of Pennsylvania School for Dental Medicine. He spent the next year as a resident in Anesthesia at the Medical College of Pennsylvania receiving a certificate in Anesthesia and then obtained his training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Duke University Medical Center. After completing his training at Duke, he worked in New Orleans for eight years with appointments at the VA Medical Center and the Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.
Having a special appreciation for North Carolina since childhood due to numerous camping and fishing trips to the Outer Banks, Dr. Immediata moved his family to Raleigh in 1990 to establish his practice. During his 20 years in Raleigh, Dr. Immediata and his wife have raised three daughters and are now excited …about the addition of grandchildren. He currently has two grandchildren and savors his time with them. When away from the office, Dr. Immediata spends his time with family, walking with his wife, working in his garden, fishing, and reading an occasional novel. But he also thoroughly enjoys his time and relationships with his patients. The privilege of caring for his patients of over the last 20 years has been a truly gratifying experience and one he hopes to continue for many years to come.
