Dr Anthony W. Jackson Sr., MD

Anthony Jackson, M.D., is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, fellow of the American College of Surgeons and fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was a member of several honor societies and graduated magna cum laude. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis. His ENT training was done at VCU Medical College of Virginia, and subsequently, Dr. Jackson served as an assistant professor in the ENT department at MCV for three years before starting a private practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Outer Banks Ear, Nose & Throat, Dr. Jackson’s practice, provides a complete range of care for people of all ages, from the newborn baby to the senior citizen. “Our mission is to provide the best possible care for patients in a warm and caring environment,” …states Dr. Jackson. He believes in a strong partnership with patients and thus encourages questions concerning their care. Dr. Jackson shares office space with The Outer Banks Hospital’s audiologist, Krista Follmer, Au.D. Dr. Jackson performs surgery at The Outer Banks Hospital.Married, with three children, Dr. Jackson is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. He and his wife divide their time between homes in Southern Shores and Elizabeth City, North Carolina. During the season, the Jacksons rent their Southern Shores house and live on their boat in Manteo Harbor. An avid fisherman, Dr. Jackson can be overheard telling fish stories and seen showing pictures of those he caught.
