Dr. Anthony Frederick Jahn, MD

I am a professional singer, and I have been a patient of Dr. Jahn's for many years. He has saved me many times when I have been ill, and he has enabled me to continue performing consistently. I am so grateful that I found a doctor who is so knowledgeable about singers and their needs.

If I could give zero stars, I honestly would, but Yelp doesn't allow a rating lower than one star, so that's what I will have to give Dr. Jahn. He is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with the American healthcare system. He values profits over patients. He is greed personified. I met with Dr. Jahn regarding my deviated septum. I am physically unable to breathe through my nose due to this condition. This condition also causes constant congestion and chronic sinusitis. Dr. Jahn examined my nose, confirmed this diagnosis, and recommended surgery to correct my deviated septum. Up to this point, I found my experience with him satisfactory (although his waiting room was very crowded and I did have to wait a long time to see him). He is in-network, so I didn't even have a copay after my initial consultation with him. Everything went downhill after I scheduled my surgery. Firstly, it was impossible to get any information regarding the surgery. No one would ever pick up the… phone at his office, Dr. Jahn would never respond to my phone calls, and his assistant took forever to check whether my insurance covered the surgery. When someone did finally pick up the phone, after I was sent straight to voicemail approximately ten times, they were extremely rude. His office staff provide some of the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Finally, after more than a week, I was able to get my questions answered and I found out that my insurance does not cover the surgical center at which Dr. Jahn would perform the surgery. So, I asked Dr. Jahn if he would perform the surgery in another center. I have very strong, comprehensive insurance that covers hundreds, if not thousands, of surgical centers in the New York metropolitan area. So, I'm sure Dr. Jahn could find another center at which he could perform the surgery, especially considering the fact that it is a very routine, minimally-invasive operation. Despite this, Dr. Jahn refused to perform the surgery elsewhere and insisted that he only performs surgery at his surgical center in Fort Lee, New Jersey. If I had my surgery done at this center, I would have to pay a $2,000 copay, plus 30% of the operation costs. I don't have the money for this, which I've told Dr. Jahn. He doesn't care, though. Dr. Jahn is the classic example of a greedy healthcare provider exploiting patients in America's broken, dysfunctional healthcare system. He should be ashamed of himself and I honestly believe his medical license should be revoked due to this egregious violation of the Hippocratic Oath to "do no harm."

I first met Dr. Jahn at 12 years old, and I still go to him 24 yrs later for persistent ear problems. He is caring and extremely knowledgeable. I would trust all of my loved ones with his care! Truly a great doctor!!

doesnt let you ask questions..misdiagnosed my perforated ear drum which resulted in ear infection from water getting in the ear.

Walked out today after the THIRD visit where my charts had been lost! Twice in the past the Dr. was given SOMEONE ELSES file!! Then the staff tells me the file had been purged because it had been over two years since my last visit...BUT I had just been in the office ONE YEAR ago!!! Tired of going through the entire NEW Patient process...Also, when the Dr. saw he had the wrong file, and even though I'd thoroughly explained what my problem is (ear infection), he virtually RAN out of the examination room and handed his staff the file. It would have been nice if he had even attempted to look at my ear! If he doesn't at least call to apologize, I'll curse him. Never going back.

I have been treated by Dr.Jahn for voice and ear issues for the past ten years. He is the best and have referred other patients to him. His personable manner is only outranked by his expertise. I highly recommend him.
