Dr. Anthony J Kawa, DO

Very happy I found Dr.Kawa. His bedside manner was exceptional. Went over all meds and vitamins with me. Sent me for an ultrasound of my heart and followed up with good report. Added a 5 mg pill to my blood pressure meds.Did a physical exam.I have recommended him to friends.

I’d give him zero if I could. I saw him during a hospital stay. I had gone into the ER with chest pain When he came in to assess my condition, he ripped open the curtain to my room, flipped on all the lights, and entered without so much as a knock or a hello His bedside manner is non-existent, he peacocks for his residents, and his sizism is beyond apparent. Even with my chart (and results) in his hand, he still got details wrong when discussing my medical history (listed wrong medications). He interrupted me during nearly every question he asked, interjecting with rude and condescending responses. I suspect he's grown comfortable in being so condescending due to the median age of typical cardio patients, and didn't expect to have someone stand up to his terrible attitude and line of questioning. I asked him TWICE to leave and asked for a different doctor (which is my right as a patient), and he did not leave, but continued his demeaning behavior until I raised my voice and yelled… at him to "LEAVE NOW" Definitely do not recommend this doctor, especially for women, and doubly so if your BMI is high. Upon speaking to a colleague of his regarding his behavior, she asked "was he condescending?" so it seems this is the norm for him. For a not-so-small figured man, he sure did have a lot to say about my body condition. How many servings of fruits and vegetables do you think HE eats per day? This man has no place in medicine where he comes face to face with clients

Office staff were friendly. Dr. Kawa is down to earth, kind and thorough!

Out Standing Doctor, I would highly tell the world about him,He' very friendly, Super Smart, Always very nice manors I and always on time, I, would give him 60 stars not 5 stars He is a great Doctor. There should be more doctors like Dr. a. Kawa in this world He GREAT!!! I hope he is around for long time more. If need a doctor just go to Dr. kawa and you will what I mean. Looking forward for my next appointment with him some time next year.

Did not do a thorough exam of my family member. She was hospitalized within days of our visit to Dr. Kawa who did not diagnose her obvious health problem even after we provided specific symptoms & he ordered bloodwork.
