Dr. Leazzo is further fellowship trained and board eligible in Sports Medicine - an area of medicine that focuses on conservative, non-operative methods of treating orthopaedic injuries as well as musculoskeletal diseases including rheumatological conditions. After several years in private practice in a small group, Dr. Leazzo opened his own practice, Midwest Family & Sports Medicine Center, LLC in 2008.
Dr. Leazzo's postgraduate studies included a residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI. This broad-based program included training in all aspects of family medicine in both the in-patient and out-patient settings. Dr. Leazzo's fellowship at Michigan State University included training in out-patient management of low back pain, joint pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and many other musculoskeletal conditions.
