Absolutely unprofessional. One of the worst doctors you can ever meet. Mean, not educated and seems like he’s there to get his money rather than help patients. Avoid him at all costs if you can. He gives no updates, doesn’t give any sort future plan. He literally just checks on you once and a while with a sarcastic old smelly man tone. Never ever in my life have I seen someone so unprofessional and disgusting

My Dog could give better treatment, I was there 30 days and he actually spoke to me about 3 times

He uncovered the two keys which solved my addiction problem. 1) He told me that if I did not stay on an antidepressant I would never stay sober. 2) He put me on opiate blocking pills. After 5 years of countless doctors and treatments I finally achieved sobriety.

After 4 days at Lutheran General Hospital, I decided I didn't like this Doctor and asked for my personal belongings so I could leave. Instead of complying with my request, I was abducted by 3 security guards, tied to a bed and forcibly drugged with Haldol, Seroquel, Sertraline, Trazodone, Diazepam, Lorazepam and a host of other nasty drugs to numerous to mention here. He kept me hostage there for another 30 days, tied to a bed for 21 of those days. The medicine cause qt prolongation of my heart, which could have been deadly. He is only Board Certified in Family Medicine, not in Addiction Medicine which he tries to get people to believe. He is not an M.D. he is a D.O., and he is not a Psychiatrist as he advertises. In addition to being a liar, he is also arrogant, contemptibly obnoxious individual. If you want to be abducted, tortured and forcibly drugged this is the place to go. I encourage everyone who had a bad experience with this clown to file a complaint with the Illinois… Department of Finacial and Profession regulation

I came in for a bunch of tests and he never gave me the results. I had to have another doctor request them and tell me the results

He hasn't the time to waste with patients that have no desire to help themselves. Yes he makes it known right at the beginning and yes it may initially appear as arrogance or disinterest. All I can say that is he has saved my life

Doesn't discuss treatment with patients; doesn't even bother meeting with patients, but admits them to the hospital for detox.

Can't believe a great hospital like Lutheran General allows him Addictions Unit. He's dishonest and arrogant. Stay far away.

I have never been so belittled, humiliated, and put down as this physician made me feel. I agree with the other poster that you are made out to be a loser from the start. I should have filed a complaint with LGH but it probably would have done no good. I personally would NEVER consider this man for any type of addiction consultation.

Althought there can be quite a bit of wait time to see Dr. March, I feel it is well worth it. As when it has been my turn I feel his focus is strictly on what my issues are, I am not made to feel crazy and he is one of the only Doctors I have ever met that is not afraid to say " I do not know, but I will find some one who does"
