Dr. Anthony Allen Nelson, MD

I Loved this Doctor! In fact, I can't say enough about him, unfortunately though, he has a Front Desk Receptionist that reminds me of the Nurse in the Movie, "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest"

I have had to go to a lot of doctors in my life. Dr. Nelson is the nicest and most compassionate I have went to. He has taken care of my pain and always fun to talk to. His Staff always takes care of me and is really nice and efficient!

I saw the Physicians Assistant in this office and I liked him a lot. The problem is that the office staff seems uninterested in returning phone calls when voicemails are left. It's happened more than once. For example, today (Thursday), I called for my usual supply of painkillers. It wasn't an early Rx and I just wanted to get what I've gotten every month for a long time. So, I called in the morning and got voicemail. I left a friendly, detailed message letting them know that it's that time of the month again. No return call. I called in the afternoon and left another message. No return call. I checked with the pharmacy to find out if they'd contacted them. Nope. The pharmacy faxed them. No response. I called the insurance company. They got voicemail, too, when they tried to contact this doctor's office. I know that it's not medically advisable to abruptly stop my medication, but now I'm stuck. Their office is closed on Fridays. The insurance company is now calling around to see what… can be done. Not responding to voicemails may seem like a small thing, but it's put my health at risk. Needless to say, I'm switching to someone else ASAP.

DR Nelson is an excellent MD and I would highly recommend him to anyone experiencing pain however we have been trying to obtain medical records from his office and phone calls have not been returned nor faxes answered. It is very important to obtain these records

I really love Dr. Nelson and his girls; I just can't seem to like his PA. He really needs to get fired, he's nothing like Dr. Nelson but that's only my opinion.

Dr. Nelson is AWESOME! He was running late but I understand why, he takes the time to know his patients. If he's running late be patient!! He'll take the time with you as well.
