Dr. Anthony Francis Pachelli, MD

From diagnosis to post op doctor Pachelli was completely honest and forthright about the situation that I was in. He told me the pros and cons to surgery and allowed me to make the choice that was right for me (he only gave me his opinion when I asked for it). After making the decision to go forward with a full shoulder replacement, Dr. Pachelli was highly informative and answered all of my questions in full detail. He gained my trust so much that I felt completely comfortable allowing him to perform his first stemless prosthesis procedure on me (it was only approved by the FDA a few weeks prior to my scheduled surgery and was a much better option due to my age). Contrary to some of the poor reviews posted here, I felt that Dr. Pachelli was completely invested in my success and spent more time than he probably had to answer all of my questions and keep me informed.

I would never recommend Dr. Pachelli to anyone who needs a shoulder replacement. Once he has finished his surgery he is done with you. I am still in pain after two years. About 5 months after the surgery he said the prosthesis and the work he did looks fine and I should find someone else to help me. I couldn't believe it. He does not care for his patients. He is arrogant and rude - as others have said as well.

Cant moev my shoulder hardly at all, and the doctor wants me to go to physicaly therapy. I catn hardly sleep at night and now need to wait 4-6 weeks of tharapy before he repairs my torn shoulder.

All interactions with Dr. Pachelli were top notch. Had surgery 6 weeks ago on my shoulder and am healing very well. Dr. pachelli did a great job! Had a great bedside manner. Answered all of my questions. Have nothing but good things to say about this Doctor! Thanks Doc!

This guy is arrogant, uncaring. I'm an RN and I would not ever step foot in his office or recommend him to anyone. His office staff were fine, he's just a jerk.

I have never felt so much like a number, not a human being at all. I was seeing him for a serious injury & he spent less then 5 minutes with me & told me to come back in couple of months, no thanks, I will find someone else who will at least examine me & listen to my concerns and most importantly explain what is wrong with me & not make me feel like I was wasting his time.

I was missed diagnosed for over 4 mouths by 3 other doctor all who were unwilling to order an MRI for my shoulder. At the time I was told that I just pulled my Supraspinatus a muscle in my upper back, but the pain was in my shoulder. I did 4 mouths of Physical Therapy and another doctor was about to be clear me ready for physical duty at work even though I was still in pain. After having enough bull, I saw Dr. A. Pachelli who diagnosed that I tore my labrum before reading the medical records that the other 3 doctor had written. And the MRI I later received conformed the Labral tear and a Bicep tear which Dr. Pachelli surgically repaired 2 days later. I am now pain free thank to Dr. Pachelli.

Dr. Pachelli most certainly has need for improvement in bedside mannerism and was almost impersonal and appeared to have little interaction with me, the patient/client. He asked very few questions and immediately went into data entry mode on his laptop. He reacted in a condescending manner when I made the statement of the examining room being stuffy. "Oh well!", he said. Then commented on my paperwork that he couldn't read... "all of this." He didn't ask questions that would seem appropriate and even important to diagnoses and treatment. The intern did a full evaluation on the wrong shoulder/arm and he did not catch it until I brought it up. He then asked me what I wanted written in exam diagnoses write-up and if I had preferences for treatment. He asked what I wanted written for Work Status. I would expect to have "the expert" recommend what would be best for me as the patient, not what I wanted.

Dr. Pachelli is a fantastic surgeon. After repairing the ACL in my knee I feel as though it is now stronger than my other knee. Though his bedside manner could be a little better, he is a very nice guy, and I never doubted his abilities as a doctor.
