I would not recommend Dr. Anthony Perna. At my appointment he preformed an unnecessary screening test even after I said I did not want it.The test was unlike any I had ever had. The test hurt and and left me feeling violated. I checked with my Gyn doctor and she had never heard of this before.

He has saved many lives of family and friends. He has even go to elderly patients homes to help them out.

Poor follow-up and doesn't listen to patient! Called after hours had to call his cell phone...he said take relative to ER and I did...then, never followed-up on relative's care in ER, etc. Relative has chronic issues, but never probed enough on issues and resulted in hosiptailzation when relative became extremely ill--this was again through the ER. Office staff doesn't follow through on health insurance referrals which causes embarrassment when going to a specialist.

The doctor behaves inappropriately, and irresponsibly. He orders irrelevant tests, and then sends the patient for multiple follow-up visits with other doctors who must be his friends, and who seem to all have very low ratings online. He over prescribes very powerful antibiotics, with no advice or supervision, and without the basis of any basic testing. The staff is unprofessional. I'm absolutely looking for a new doctor.

Dr Perna is one of the most caring and sincere md's i've ever been assoiated with. He is a first class physician who gives every patient professional care and consideration.

The receptionist is the only staff who is lacking in professionalism. She ignores you for quite some time as you stand directly in front of her. A sign-in sheet on a clipboard would be recommended. This would alleviate the feeling of a patient being ignored and his/her need to stand there waiting for her to acknowledge your presence.

My biggest complaint about Dr. Perna is his bedside manner. The last time I met with him for a physical, he made several inappropriate comments in reference to my OBGYN. He was trying to be funny, but instead, I have found a new Dr.
