Dr. Anthony J Perrotta

I called the office to make sure they were able to accommodate my son's Special Needs. He is nonverbal in a wheelchair and requires assistance from myself. I was assured they were able to accommodate his needs. The Hygienist I thought (at 1st) was accommodating as I helped position my son in the chair and brought my own bite stick to insure his mouth remained open allowing full access to his mouth. It seemed to go okay on his right side, but quickly turned negative when the bite stick and suction interfered with sectioning the water. She said she was unable to move to his other side as the hose wouldn't reach. (Looked pretty long to me) So she resorted to use a pick VERY sparingly and then did a QUICK polishing. She then left the room and in walks a man No Introduction! I asked if he was the dentist, he responded yes. Said hello stood there looked at my son from a standing position said all looks good (NO EXAM) and suggested next time take him somewhere else. Awful office.

I like mist people do not like going to the dentist. Dr. Perrotta and his staff were extremely kind and attentive and eased my anxiety. The office was extremely clean and inviting. Not as anxious to go back for my 6 month cleaning!

Both my husband and daughter went to Dr. Perrotta. Neither one of them had a cleaning by a hygienist. The dentist spent about 5 minutes cleaning their teeth. That was it. They hadn't been to dentist in several years and definitely had tartar build up. Average cleaning should take minimum 30 minutes! I don't understand how you expect teeth to be clean in 5 minutes.

I went to Dr Perrotta for pain in a back molar. With xrays he couldnt find anything wrong--yet suggested he could pull the tooth, perform a root canal/crown when I asked why I was having pain. I was confused because he said there was nothing wrong. He suggested twice that I could get another opinion so I agreed. His cleaning job was a disgrace. He gave it all of about 3 minutes. When I asked if that was it, and that my previous dentist in Brooklyn never took less than 1/2 hour to perform a cleaning....he replied this was his typical cleaning. I also noticed his cotton jacket was dirty and especially filthy at the pocket area. That grossed me out. I recently relocated here and chose him because he accepted Healthfirst Insurance. I decided I was better off making the trip to Brooklyn where my previous dentist noticed a problem with my bite. He ground the molar down a bit, solving the pain problem and gave me a proper cleaning. I do not recommend Dr. Perrotta.

Been going to Dr. Perotta for years. He's a great dentist and will always fit you in if there's a emergency.
