Dr. Anthony C. Pitts was my physical therapy & rehab doctor at UAB from 2003-2018. He took a badly broken man & helped me learn to walk again, manage chronic pain & build back normalcy in my life. He is an extremely gifted PM & E specialist & a teaching doctor @ UAB for more than 20 yrs. I live in Atlanta & had to switch doctors in 2019 when UAB stopped pain patch management overseen by Dr. Pitts. What a loss for those of us with broken bodies an few options! Excellent Doctor!!

I loved Dr. Pitts and Karen. I miss him already and hate I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. I wish him and his family the best. And I pray I can find another good doctor!

I always enjoyed my visits. I felt like we were family. He helped me and was very patient and knowledgeable!! I hate I didn’t get to say goodbye and wish you well! Wish you the very best!!

I went to see Dr. Pitts about my back. When he gave me an exam the first thing was he asked if I had a dog .I said yes 2 one that is very tiny she is a tea cup about 1Â½ lbs and another one that is about 5lbs he then said well I guess you pick them up wrong and hurt your back you don't bend your knees. I told him yes I bend my knees and the 5 pound dog I make jump up in my lap. Then he proceeded to tell me have I looked into have the gastric by pass. that made me mad cause I am only 50 lbs over weight and was loosing it till my back went out. He sent me to have a nerve test and said we might not find anything. Well they did I have nerve damage in back hip and both legs. then he sent me for an MRI and that has been 3Â½ weeks now and no one will call me back to let me know what we are going to do. I called several times. I did get a call that told me someone would call me back soon and that was 1 week ago If this how he treats his patients then no one need to see him.
