I cannot recommend Dr. Spina enough! I recently had an urgent medical situation that required an emergency procedure, and from the moment I arrived, Dr. Spina was incredibly compassionate and reassuring. His bedside manner is exceptional—he took the time to address all of my family’s and my concerns and questions with patience and clarity, making an overwhelming situation much easier to handle. His kindness and professionalism truly made a difference in my experience. I am beyond grateful for his care and expertise. If you’re looking for a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients, Dr. Spina is the one to see!

Called and placed on hold by initial intake. Received return call from initial intake and repeatedly supplied the same information. Refused assistance to verify coverage but instead transferred to manager. Mentioned wait time and refusal to verify coverage. Manager disconnected call. Will report this office for poor registration and management. Do not expect good patient assistance and respect from this staff. They should be replaced with patient centric staff and management. My doctor has been notified and this complaint will be filed with BBB and other dental associations.

Doctor Spina removed 2 of my front teeth and put in implants He did a wonderful job with no pain and the implants were put in perfectly. I highly recommend him for any tooth removal or putting in implants. They were all very friendly and answered any questions, I highly recommend their practice.

Dr. Spina has removed the wisdom teeth of both of my sons. We have only had great experiences with this practice.

I went to Dr. Spina for wisdom tooth extraction (all 4) after one other dentist denied me treatment because of a pre-existing condition. Dr. Spina, a Specialist in his field, had no issues performing the tooth extraction. He fit me in to his schedule and to my surprise the procedure lasted no more than 5 minutes and my teeth were out, the pre surgery prep lasted longer. I experienced no major pain and no swelling after the procedure. On Day 3 after the surgery, I was back to normal diet. Dr. Spina was recommended to me by a friend and I will recommend Dr. Spina to all family and friends. Thank you Dr. Spina.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Spina because I had an extremely painful wisdom tooth. Dr. Spina and his office staff, specifically Marie are amazing! They went out of their way to fit me in. They were compassionate and professional. I highly recommend this office.

I fret over regular cleanings…then I had to have three teeth removed. Dr. Spina and his staff were extremely professional and comforting. All extractions went much better than I could have imagined. If you need oral surgeries…see this terrific doctor.

I can't say enough good things about this practice! My son had his wisdom teeth extracted here and EVERYONE, administrators including Marie, nurses including Taylor and Danielle, and Dr. Spina, were all outstanding. We were on a tight timeline with arranging everything so Marie's administrative help was essential. They kept me posted on the timeline when he was in the office and post-op instructions were clear. My son also felt very comfortable with the practice. FYI, Wisdom Teeth extraction procedures may be assigned to your dental or medical insurance, depending on its nature. It was more important for our costs that they be in our medical network, and the office helped us with those details and the coding for the bills.

My dentist recommended Chicago Surgical Specialists for my wisdom teeth removal and I am so glad she did. Dr. Spina and his staff are wonderful! I am by nature a very nervous person and had been putting off having my wisdom teeth removed for about a decade, they were impacted but did not cause me any issues and I have never had a cavity but finally at my last cleaning my dentist found my first two cavities, one in each bottom wisdom tooth. Alas the inevitable could no longer be ignored, these teeth had to come out. At the consultation Dr. Spina was friendly, kind, competent and answered all my questions. My sister, who lives in another state, had her wisdom teeth removed a few months ago and WOW-what a fiasco that has been for her. I was worried something similar would happened to me as we both waited to have our wisdom teeth removed till we were a bit older but Dr. Spina put me at ease with how simple this was and I was extremely surprised at fast it would take. After letting my… family and work know I had to get this done everyone and I mean everyone has told me about their and their children’s horror stories with wisdom teeth removal. Again I am a very nervous person so going in for the procedure my blood pressure was HIGH. I was very worried about how much discomfort I was about to feel or how painful recovery was going to be. The dental assistant/tech, who assisted Dr. Spina, Kathy was amazing at calming me down by walking me through everything from setting up to discharging me. It really felt like she went above and beyond but she’s absolute pro and most likely has done this a million times. I was well taken care and can’t thank her enough. The worst part out of all of everything was the pinch from when the doctor was numbing me and that it, that’s all I felt. Everything from scheduling, checking in and dealing with insurance (shout out to the women at the front desks- You’re all sweethearts!) the consultation, filling prescriptions, the procedure and recovery has gone smoothly and without issue. I am currently on day 3 of recovery and have had minimal discomfort and no real pain. I’ve only had to take ibuprofen and over the counter Tylenol as well as my antibiotic. I’ve followed their recommendations for icing 20 mins on and off for the first 24 hours and only had to ice my cheeks once after that and swelling has not been an issue. Thank you Dr. Spina and staff, your professionalism and passion for your work truly shows!! Also extremely happy with all the protocols and safety measures they are taking during Covid. Highly recommend anyone who needs oral surgery to come see Dr. Spina and staff at Chicago Surgical Specialists
