Dr. Anthony Lynn Tropeano, MD

Last time my knee was scoped, it lasted 14 years. This time only 4 months. You know a surgeon is bad when other doctors shake their head when they are told you went to Anthony Tropeano and say that there is a very good reason that he closes and reopens in another location.

I love his bedside manner and expertise he showed.

This guy is amazing!! He sits down and listens, answers all my questions, not in a hurry and I love his nurse as well.. We have worked with this office staff prior to his joining the staff and they are great as well!!

I highly recommend Dr. Tropeano. Not only did he alleviate my pain, each visit was marked with humor, friendliness, and encouragement. He answered all my questions, both during treatment visits and follow-up appointments. Will only go to him for any future injuries or issues!

I broke my leg/ankle at work and had to have plates installed. In my first visit back I had blisters all down both sides of my incision and was told this was bad to cause infection so he started me on antibiotics. The doctor told me I had an infection on my second visit after to see him. I had 3 more surgery's with him to clean and put a would vacuum on, when the wound vac was removed the nurse noted it was stuck to my leg which resulted in no infection being drained from my wound. I had several cultures done... He tried to tell me the name of the infection I had and couldn't even pronounce the name of it and I directly ask him"so this isn't staph" and his response was no definitely not.... He had me scheduled for a 4th surgery when I went to see another Dr in Birmingham and told me that after all the antibiotics I had took that if it hasn't cleared up by now it would be in my bone. I was put on IV antibiotics (vancomycin)for 6 weeks with a wound vac to no avail and had to have my leg… amputated.... My infectious disease Dr said it was staph after surgery and if we would have caught it earlier I would have had allot better chance of saving my leg.... How can this Dr never have checked me for a bone infection and the other knew it was there 5 mins after reading my file.....
