Dr. Anthony Joel Yuen, DO

I never felt like I was treated like an individual by Dr Yuen. He just strictly went by CDC's guidelines for diagnostic tests and vaccines and treated me like I was on an assembly line. When I recently contracted COVID 19 and related pnemonia and was treated at Summerville Medical I gave the lab results to his office and followed up to make an appointment on my recuperation. I had to schedule a virtual visit and they didn't send me instructions until about an hour before the scheduled appointment. I couldn't access, but then he called me. He must not have looked at my lab results prior to the call and started telling me that I had gone to the ER for nausea and vomiting, but I told him that was not what I went there for. I don't think he knew I had COVID 19 or that I was also anemic. I told him I had survived and it was no thanks to him. I had a very good and caring doctor at the ER who I credit with saving my life. They can't teach caring in medical school and it's an essential quality… for a doctor. I was planning on finding another doctor, but he sent me a certified letter that he couldn't provide medical services which he never did anyway.

Dr Yuen is patient and compassionate. He answers all your questions and you will never feel rushed. The staff at his office is fantastic. Their follow thru on answering questions or giving refills for prescriptions is exceptional.

am a new patient of Dr. Anthony Yuen. I find him very thorough, professional and caring. He listens to your concerns and addresses them thoroughly. He spends as much time as necessary In your visits and I never feel rushed. His nurse, Sara, is so kind and puts you at ease..

I have been a patient of Dr Yuen for several years. I have had several strokes, have a heart monitor implanted and now possible blood clots in legs. Dr Yuen “can’t” see me for at least a month. I am also running a fever and sore throat. Legs swollen, hurting and red. I guess I will have to find another Dr, since I can get no service from my primary care Dr.

I now trust going to the Dr. If you are truthful to him he will help you with all issues. He is not a prescription happy Dr. He actually tries to get me off Meds. My health has improved!

I hate going to the doctor, but Yuen listens to my issues and is patient. Doesn't make me feel like I'm wasting my time, or his.

Did not feel he took my concerns seriously. Had to repeat several requests for referral/rx. He was yawning throughout visit.
