I was sent to Bartow hospital because I was having pain. This is where I met Dr. Zappia. He was very diligent in finding out what was wrong with me, and in no time had a diagnosis for me. He took the time to explain everything for me and within hours operated on me and took care of the problem. After the operation he again took the time to answer all my questions. I have been to his office once since the surgery and all the people on his staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a hernia that had been there for about ten years, and ended up with problems from it. My primary doctor had told me if it doesnt hurt do not worry about it. I asked him about that and he said it is always a good idea to get it checked out by a surgeon. So if anyone has a hernia I would highly suggest you get it checked out to make sure all is well. And I highly recommend Dr. Zappia.

Dr. Zappia is a wiz of a surgeon who takes time to visit, talk, and hear you and your family's concerns. He reviewed my CT scan and explained it carefully. Afterward he help me through the surgery, recovery and the follow up protocols. The anesthetist (Dr. Baker) and operating room personnel Dr. Zappia works with are A+ in their presentation and care. I couldn't be more pleased and grateful for everything they've done for me. I will see him and his kind team again if need another surgery.

Dr Zappia was great, answered all my questions and was very friendly. He also have one of the most awesome nurses, Sandra, that I've ever met. I would highly recommend.

Dr Zappia performed a robotic umbilical hernia repair with mesh,it’s been just over a week since surgery and feel great,he was very informative about the pre and post procedure,would highly recommend.
