Dr. Antoaneta Ivanova Ilieva, MD

I'm having a family member help me write this review but it is in my words,since I'm bad with commputers. This doctor tries to push every test and every drug on you. She will try to give you tons of medications you don't need. I think she feels if you are on medications you will need her because they need filled. If you tell her you don't want them she starts ranting like a kid throwing a temper tantrum. I have stopped seeing her and feel great. I'm on less meds.

Dr. Ilieva has been my primary care physician for approximately 18 years. Her knowledge, expertise and concern are exemplary. She has a wonderful bed side manner. As an example of her skills, she merely walked in the examination room said hello and immediately detected that I had some kind of anomaly on my neck. She asked me to take a sip of water to further investigate her suspicion and promptly recommended I see an Endocrinologist. She was 100% correct and an ultrasound discovered nodules on my thyroid. Now that's an observant doctor! Happy that she's much younger than me so I don't have to worry about her retirement and having to find a doctor as caring and experienced as Dr. Ilieva. I would highly recommend her to any and all.

Very rude. She is unprofessional and needs to learn that a person has feelings. She needs to show compassion. She acts if the elderly are stupid and are only on this earth to die. She doesn't give them the time of day.

The. Worst bed side manor, doesn't respond to the needs of her patients.

This woman is incredibly rude and domineering. An incident: When I was explaining my symptoms (of Misophonia); Dr. Ilieva looked it up on her laptop in the exam room, and promptly told me I don't have anything wrong with me and I was imagining the symptoms. These were having a large impact on my life and I had had these symptoms for 7 YEARS, so she was not right to say that. Another time I came in, she was criticizing me on my perfectly healthy ear piercings; and said it is bad to have them---all the while SHE is wearing earrings. Anyway, I had gone there a few times before (for checkups, strep tests, etc) and she was still very rude and incredibly judgmental. So her criticism on my earrings and disbelief in Misophonia was only the last straw. I am so glad to be done with this person. After each and every appointment I had with her I left in near tears from her lack of regard for her patients, and her terrible listening skills.
