I went to undergraduate school at UC Irvine. There I majored in biology and took a minor in classical music. Afterwards I went to Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia. After medical school, I was fortunate enough to be accepted at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center for my training. I did my internship and residency there and then I did a fellowship in nephrology there as well. I have been here since I finished my training. I'm currently the assistant program director of the fellowship program. I'm also an associate professor of clinical medicine at UCLA. I'm involved in teaching internal medicine and nephrology to medical students, interns, residents, and nephrology fellows.

Dr. Abcar took care of my father in the hospital. He is such a knowledgeable and caring doctor. Very good doctor. I highly recommend him. My dad was very sick and thanks to Dr. Abcar he is so much better now. He is very smart and personable. My dad is lucky to have him as a doctor. We appreciate and love Dr. Abcar.

This doctor should be voted national doctor of the year. If there is such an honor he deserves it.

Dr.Abcar is an expert in kidneys. If you have a problem go see him. He has helped me so much. I highly recommend Dr. Abcar.

Dr. Abcar is the greatest. He diagnosed my problem right away. I had been to so many doctors in the past two years and none of them could figure out what I had. He did. I highly recommend him. He is smart, friendly, kind and has excellent bedside manner.

This doctor is the best. I have never been to a doctor as good. If you want excellent care, I highly recommend him.

My kidneys still work but for a limited time. He keeps a close eye on my diagnostics and gives me pointers on how to stay healthy longer.
