Dr. Antoinette Benton, MD

Dr. Antoinette Benton is a family medicine physician who brings over three decades of medical expertise to her practice. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, establishing a strong foundation for her comprehensive approach to healthcare. With 31 years of experience caring for patients and families, Dr. Benton has developed deep expertise in managing complex neurological conditions alongside traditional family medicine. She is fluent in Spanish and Vietnamese, allowing her to connect with and serve diverse communities throughout New Mexico.

Dr. Benton practices at multiple University of New Mexico healthcare facilities, including UNM Family Medicine Clinic and University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, as well as UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center in Rio Rancho. Her clinical focus includes treating patients with cerebral palsy and managing spasticity in both children and …adults. She provides comprehensive care that ranges from physical therapy coordination to specialized surgical procedures when needed. Dr. Benton also performs surgical nail removal and neuroma or plantar callus surgery to address foot and ankle conditions that can significantly impact mobility and quality of life.
