Dr. Anton Wintner, MD

I had a first consultation with Dr. Wintner today. This was a referral within Mass. General Urology. It was by phone because of the coronovirus limitations on in-person visits. I was impressed by his questions and his advice about how I should proceed. I look forward to meeting him in person once the coronavirus limitations have been lifted.

Dr. Wintner is a gifted surgeon who helped see me clear of the havoc my prostate was exacting on my bladder over two decades. During that time I saw close to a half-dozen urologists who were all sufficient technicians, marginal listeners, and questionable practices. Dr. Winter went beyond the big pharma marketing and met me in the place where more pills, PSA tests, biopsies, and innumerable therapies weren't going to cut it. His attentive manner and straight-forward communications underscores his diagnostic skills, surgical achievements, and confidence that his patients place in his trust.

My husband is one of Dr. Wintner's newer patients. From our first meeting we were struck by his easy demeanor, ability to really listen, and willingness to take the time to answer our questions, without pretense or condescension. They should bottle him and send him to every medical school and say, "Here, this is what compassion looks like." My husband had a procedure last night and feels like a million bucks this morning! Thank you, not only to Dr. Wintner, but to the other doctors, nurses, and staff at Newton-Wellesley Hospital!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Doctor Wintner this year. He is very kind and respectful towards his patients. He listens and cares for patients opinions and doesn't care how many questions one has, he will do his very best to answer them all. You are in great (and experienced) hands if you are under his care. I recommend doctor Wintner 100 percent!
