Antonino Russo, DDS
For 25 years, Dr. Antonino Russo has been providing his patients with exceptional comprehensive orthodontic care. Highly educated, he graduated from Dowling College in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He then attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook, graduating 1982 with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. In 1984, Dr. Russo obtained his Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Maryland.
Along with running his own practice, Dr. Russo is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Children's Dentistry at Stony Brook University. He has been teaching at the University since 1986. He is one of three faculty members that founded the Postgraduate Orthodontic Program in 1989. He has mentored over 40 postgraduate students that now practice orthodontics all over the world.
A Board Certified Orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Russo feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of …orthodontics. Thus, he maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists, the Angle Society of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontics, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the New York State Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Society, the Suffolk County Dental Society, the Long Island Academy of Odontology and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Nation Dental Society.
A two-time published author, Dr. Russo has lectured to the dental community at The Greater New York Dental Meeting in 2008 and to orthodontists at the annual 2005 and 2009 meeting of the North Atlantic Component of The Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists.
In his spare time, Dr. Russo volunteers at the dental clinic in St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York.
