I appreciate the efforts made to get me on the path I needed to be by this doctor but how it was done was not what I needed. I did not need to be talked down to because I was not doing things fast enough or because I had questions. I was told at this office I had dysautonomia (parasympathetic) and this did get me on the right path. However, I had to go else where to get more answers. Another doctor has helped me manage my symptoms and has answered all my questions when asked in a way that has not left me feeling like I did something wrong by asking (or by waiting to take a medication until I did ask questions). It has taken me awhile to write this, as this incident was months ago. I am now just ready to talk about it because it took awhile for me to get over how that visit made me feel. I was welcomed to come back to your office and I appreciate that as well but it felt like more of a challenge (seeing if I could do it). I am unsure of what your thoughts were that day, in the office,… but at that visit you made me feel cornered and in the wrong for being unsure of what I was supposed to do. Having a chronic condition is not easy and that is not the only thing going on in my life. It has been hard managing it and at that time I was receiving a lot of new information. Responding that way towards me did not help the situation, all I needed was some understanding and patience. The one thing that has stuck with me from that visit is how I was questioned about if I wanted to get better. This should have never been said. I explained my history, it should have been known that to get better is all I want.

Dr. Baute diagnosed me with Dysautonomia a dysfunction/disorder in the ANS. It took me 56 years to have the diagnostic for my many awful symptoms that led me to emergency clinics, ERs for 20 years and I was dismissed having anxiety panic disorder etc. Forever grateful to Dr. Baute.

I went to the ER after experiencing an unusually high heart rate with slow recovery in the middle of exercise. After a fine experience in the ER, a preliminary diagnosis of supraventricular tachycardia was made and Dr. Baute gave me orders for a stress test and ultrasound with a follow-up in his office. He also mentioned that he might put me on a cardiac monitor for a month. Two weeks later I had the tests done (that was the soonest I could be seen). A week later I had my follow up appointment. At the follow-up, Dr. Baute did not once ask if I had a recurrence of my symptoms. He never mentioned the ER visit or his preliminary diagnosis. He stated that he didn't think I needed a stress test or an ultrasound, so he clearly had not made himself familiar with my chart prior to seeing me. When I pointed out that I had those tests done, at his request, he then went to get the results and said all was fine. He told me to come back in 6 months. I will not be returning. I saw him in… the ER for a very specific symptom and the fact that he didn't ask if it happened again is ridiculous. I interpret that to mean he hadn't a clue why I was in his office, and how exactly can he render a medical opinion when he doesn't even know why I am there?Today a received the bill for the tests that he decided he didn't need to order in the first place. Over $9,000. And why is healthcare so expensive in this country? Doctors like Dr. Baute, ordering tests I apparently don't need and not knowing enough of my medical situation to give me even marginally informed advice.

Very knowledgeable yet very personable.Literally saved my life when I had a blocked LDA (Left Descending (Coronary)Artery).Has a good sense of humor to boot.
