Dr. Antonio Luis, MD

Forgets what he gave you last time, suggests you try stuff he has already given you. Seems unorganized.

I started seeing Dr. Luis while he was in Gainesville, Georgia. All though he appeared to be a great doctor, I found myself on so many medications with so many side effect that I was unable to function. I ended up in the medical hospital with his so called a nervous breakdown, I was there for 6 week and didn't even know my family. He administered 12 shock treatment to bring me out of the depression. I feel I was in withdrawal from the medications he was giving me. I became suicidal and had to be readmitted. Before you know it he had moved to another town and I still tried to get help with my problems and he refused to see me on a personal basis but put me in group therapy in his office. Next thing I know he has relocated to Augusta and now Millegeville. I finally decided that my biggest problem with him. Go in with a case of depression and stress and come out near death from a pill pusher and thankfully still alive. Not very professional when he was going home with his… office assistance and sharing too much of his personal life with a patient. How great it is to have my depression maintained by my primary care physician that I have been seeing for 40 years. I think back now what, at the hands of this "DOCTOR" put my family and me through. He had practiced in Miami where he told me they gave EST treatment by putting you on electric current until your toes curled. He came from Cuba and heaven know how they train doctors there.

An old guy stuck in old ways who doesn't listen nor alter his prescriptions based on the individual. Have spoken with other physicians who were appalled at how my son was treated and he is now seeing someone else. Horrible "bedside manner". Unfortunately, almost the only game in town.

I had tried several months to get an appt, but my insurance plan did not include dr luis. My plan eventually included him I received an appt about 11/2 months later. A week before my appt I tried to reschedule my appt. I hated my current job, I explained that I had received a job interview for about the same time as the appt. The recepionist said he doesn't reschedule 45 min slot appts. She later called, ana said he would see me. Would u want to see someone that regarded u as a 45 min slot

I saw Dr. Luis for approx. six years starting in the late 1990's. During this time I was on numerous medications, at one time I was on 6 --- for what started out as depression, but later included ADHD (adult). I saw him on a regular basis until one day I went to my appointment, he was in the office but apparently not seeing his patients. He yelled at me through the glass to "go away", he appeared to be drunk or just out of it, anyway he was quite scary! There was an employee in the office as well. She said he was having a difficult time and could we reschedule. Well, because he was my doctor and I did need refills, I agreed. When I returned for my re-scheduled appointment, I walked through the door of the office to find no one there. The front door was unlocked, the lights were off and the door to the reception area was unlocked (and open). The mailman came through and dropped the mail and left, had no idea where they were, either. I was very upset for many reasons, but of… course the main concern was that my medical records were left unsecured in his office. Till this day I still have no idea where those went. I have finally weaned myself off of all the prescriptions with the exception of one, which I take 1/4th of the recommended dosage. This doctor nearly ruined my life with his excessive over prescribing; don't let him do the same to you.

Dr Luis gave me every diagnosis in the PDR (Physician Desk Reference)Manual. Only a couple of these diagnosis were corrected after seeking second and third opinions from other doctors. I, as well, disagreed with Dr Luis' diagnosis but trusted him and followed his directions. He seems uncaring and has zip personality. Without saying, I no longer see Dr Luis.
