Dr. Picon outstanding. Could not feel more confident of upcoming surgery.

Dr. Picon took sometime to get to know me as a person and I really appreciated that. He also called me after hours to discuss a test result. I appreciated that very much also.

My mon had a small bowel obstruction due to hernia. She 93.5 years old recently had unexpected surgery, by Dr. Picon, He basically convinced me that decision needs to be taking immediately otherwise we might experiencing even more complications. I have been in hospitals many times with my mom. Dr Picon was very attentive to my case. We got very lucky that Dr. Picon was on call this night. I highly recommend Dr. Picon for his expertise and bedside manners.

Dr. Picon is an amazing surgeon. Excellent bedside manner, answers all your questions, skilled, observant, comes to see patients regularly when admitted, or sends his excellent resident/attending team to do so if he's out of the hospital. His surgical residents/attendings are top notch (unlike other service lines at hospitals, obviously this residency program recruits the best). The team was very attentive to my mom's pain management and comfort following small bowel surgery. If you're going to end up at the SIUH North, make sure it's under Dr. Picon's surgery service.

Simply the best without going to the city for surgery. Dr Picon and his crew are professional in every possible way that you would expect in the time of need. Trust me he is a top shelf doctor that you don’t find every day.

This is a doctor that cares. He takes as much time needed both before surgery and after surgery with you. Excellent bedside manner.

I cannot say enough about this doctor and his staff. He is patient, kind and I had 100% faith in his ability. My Cancer diagnosis in May of 2018 was totally out of left field, and he put me at such ease. Claudine (his nurse navigator,) and Liza (his assistant,) were ALWAYS there to show support and guide me through a very difficult time. I will be forever grateful to him.
