Dr. Antonio Pua Reyes JR., MD

I had a Cardiac CT Calcium Scoring test done. My doctor referred me to Dr. Reyes. His office was very concerned about me showing up for my appointment. When I showed up for the appointment, they did not have my test results. He told me they did not matter. I will not be going back to him.

During the appointment it became increasingly obvious that Dr. Reyes didn’t even bother to look at my chart before entering the room. He made assumptions on things & required constant correction, but would not listen when told he was incorrectly assuming things. Suggested we run tests since I hadn’t had any done... not only had I had the tests done HE was the doctor who read the results & gave the diagnosis. He was ill prepared for the appointment which demonstrates either an absurd amount of arrogance or a lack of care for his patients. Either way, I will not go back to him & suggest others find a better cardiologist. He’s not worth your time.

My Father is in his 80s. He lives in assisted living and his blood pressure is monitored regularly and the history shows that my Father's blood pressure drops when he stands. This has caused him to fall 20 times in a 9 month time. Two of these falls have resulted in him having to get staples in his head because he hit his head. My father was referred to Dr Reyes. We went to visit Dr Reyes in order to get help. He said "his blood pressure is fine he should use a wheel chair." Clearly his blood pressure is not fine and my Father does not want to use a wheel chair as he wants to stay mobile using his own two feet for as long as possible. We will be finding a new Doctor. Our experience was terrible and I felt like Dr Reyes was dismissing my Father because he is old and has lived his life but my Father still has plenty of living to do.
