Always professional, great ethical and kind and patient. Great staff working with an awesome Dr Antonio Serena. Thank you for giving me dignity and respect .

Very comfortable and well managed appointment. Every step taken performed by staff, was cordial, well planned, and efficient. I did not even think that I would be meeting the Dr. however was surprised that I did. He was very comforting and explained the procedure. This by far was an excellent experience.

Well ive read some of the reviews an i can say ive never had Dr.Serna rush me out of his office he has always been nice a explained thing to me an am a person who doesn't go to doctors much till I ended up in hospital for 7 days they sent me to him an i cant ask for a nicer person or his assistant is also a very nice person and very helpful so I thank you

Buen doctor pero a veces las consultas las hace muy rapido y no te da tiempo de expresar lo que sientes, le pedí una receta y con las prisas no me la dio, de ahi en todo lo demás esta bien. Pero me gustaría que diera oportunidad de expresar y el, de explicar mejor. Me quedé con varias dudas

My wife saw Dr. Serna as a followup from a surgeon. She had been experiencing debilitating gut pain after she ate. Ultra sound and dye imaging showed no gallstones. Dr. Serna suggested she either had an aversion to pain or a food problem. Basically saying it was all in her head. Back to the surgeon, who looked at all the tests as well as the patient in front of him. He said as a doctor, taking out your gallbladder shouldn't have any affect on your pain. But, as "your" doctor, we are taking out your gallbladder. Come to find out, her gallbladder was covered with adhesions. Rather than treat the patient and take into account their symptoms, Dr. Serna was strictly going by test results. He is a poorly skilled doctor.

I took my dad to see Dr. Otero, but got Dr. Serna instead. We waited in the waiting room almost two hours to see Dr. Serna. My dad is elderly and had recently been in the hospital. When dad was dismissed from the hospital, he was told to make an appointment with Dr. Otero for an endoscopy. Dr. Serna spent less than ten minutes with my dad and he informed us that he didn’t need another colonoscopy, until maybe in five years. That would put dad at 92 years of age and that would be an option. Nothing was said of the endoscopy. Dr. Serna could have informed us that he was running late, instead of having us wait for such a long time. I am glad that I have a doctor who truly cares for her patients. I will never have my dad see Dr. Serna again. It seems he is more interested in the number of patients he can get and not on the quality of being a professional doctor.

I was in Methodist Metropolitan ICU two days and a normal room a third. I saw Dr. Serna for three minutes on the first day, from across the room before an endoscopy, and that's it. (He stiffed me when escorted to my car.) Calling his office to set up a follow-up, staff were unhelpful and wanted me to fill out a whole new patient case. He didn't communicate with nurses and they frequently guessed at what was happening. I also had to -request- that he endoscopy my stomach since he wanted only colonoscopy.

I'm trying to find a nice way to say that Dr. A. Serna IV is good and kind but if he keeps Sylvia right in front of him, no one will ever know or care. Half of the stars in a doctor's review are actually reviews of the office staff.Before my appt., I watched the front desk clerk humiliate a very old man for being such an inconvenience to her. He didn't remember what address to go to and she never wrote it down for him. She just kept repeating it until he gave up. I nearly shed a tear for him and you might have too. When I suggested writing it down, she had no appointment cards or even any understanding of them. And she got mad.Now she's failed to call in my pre-op prescriptions, failed to call in my appointment for procedure and failed to call me to tell me that I did not have to fast anymore. If my mother had not called about the prescriptions, and then investigated the appt. time I would have either not eaten for three days or eaten once, in the pain for two more days. My stomach… hurts so bad that I have to go back but you don't. Call and ask for Sylvia. If she's good to you, please post a review. If she's not there, you're probably good to go. Nothing wrong with he doctor.
