I was previously getting my care at the MD Anderson in Houston. Dr Ucar was recommended to me when I returned to Miami and he has been a great doctor, caring , reliable and knowledgeable .

After several post chemo/radiation consultations my complaints of not feeling any benefit were answered as being scar tissue. A CT/Pet Scan reviled no cancer cells present yet a physical exam found no appreciable change and was passed off as scar tissue. I became very concerned and went elsewhere for a second opinion. A new biopsy and MRI test proved the cancer tumor had grown three or four times the original size of the previous year and was no longer operable. I feel Dr. Ucar should have ordered a second biopsy and MRI a month or so after the chemo and radiation therapy had stopped as there was no appreciable difference in the physical aspects of the tumor which remained painful after several months. It is not the patients responsibility to determine if the cause of continuing severe pain is due to scar tissue or some other factor.

Very caring and knowledgable

I am fortunate to have Dr Ucar as my oncologist, he is very caring. Every time my husband calls him to get an update on my condition he gets back to him the same day. Dr Ucar has done a great job managing my illness.
