Dr. Antonio Jose Wood, MD

Pricey, doesn't bill insurance, but he's a great doc, helped me solve some long-term issues. One of the few doctors I trust. He will work with you to get prescriptions filled at the lowest possible price.

Dr. Wood wrongly diagnosed me and prescribed me meds that aggravated my condition, then suggested that I go to the ER for a second opinion rather than giving me another doctors name. The ER visit cost me over $2,000 for what could have been a $250 consult.

Dr. Wood prescribed medication that was contraindicated for my disease. Unfortunately, I was close to death a few times as a result of taking the medication. I have a team of doctors now who manage the multiple symptoms that resulted from taking the medication Dr. Wood prescribed. The doctors believe I will not fully recover from the side effects from taking the drug. I have a common disease, and the drug Dr. Wood prescribed is common as well. I don't know how he could have made such a big mistake.

In my appointments with him, he spent a lot of time educating me about my disorder so that I could learn to manage it with more than just meds. He never rushed through our visits like many doctors do, and he was always caring and kind. He is the best of the best, by far.

After being misdiagnosed at the hands of a Longmont counselor and prescribed antidepressants which sent him into a psychotic episode, Dr. Wood correctly diagnosed him as bipolar. My husband was aggressively suicidal at the time we met Dr. Wood, but he is now in the (slow) process of recovery. Dr. Wood is brilliant and direct and kind. Without his intervention, I have no doubt my husband would be dead.

I have several diagnosis for my condition but know one could nail it down and Dr. Woods was able to help me through the process of seeing my illness and getting me on a effective treatment plan. Wow do I feel lucky to have Dr. Woods treating me. He explains thing both technically and plainly so that anyone can understand. He is also considered the "it" Doctor when everyone else fails to get results. I would recommend Dr. Woods as the best Dr. I have had at treating any illness.
