Dr. Antonio Victor Zumpano, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr Zumpano for over 20 years. I think he is a wonderful person and a wonderful Dr. The staff is absolutely fantastic also.

My father goes to this doctors office and the staff is absolutely irresponsible and ignorant! We have been waiting for an authorization for a colonoscopy for over 2 months. If you want to live... DO NOT COME HERE!

Dr. Zumpano was my PCP for only a few months. Each time I saw him he did not seem to care about what I had to say, often talking into his recording machine while I was trying to have a discussion with him. He also was very quick to leave the exam room. I thought he had a bathroom emergency. The last time I saw him he was rushing out the door and I said that I had another question about the dosage of insulin I was taking. His uncaring response was "This isn't Jeopardy." There were other times when he made uncaring comments or did not answer when I asked him a question. His "bedside" manner is atrocious. Fortunately, I now have an excellent doctor. He might be competent as a doctor but has problems otherwise.

Dr. Zumpano is a great doctor, he takes his time to evaluate your issues and listen to your problem. He is knowledgeale and compassionate. I would not change Dr Zumpano for any other doctor.

My husband saw Dr Zumpano back in 1994. He was having a variety of health problems and we could not find the cause. Dr Zumpano always had an office full, would come in with his script pad, and expect to just dispense drugs and be on his way. I asked him once how a med worked, and he replied "I don't know, it's new." Most of the time we were yelling questions down the hall as he dashed away. The worst thing was the way he (didn't) treat my husband. He told him straight out "Sinus allergies are all that is wrong with you." He sent him to a heart dr, Dr Nobel, who thought a heart rate of 30 was just peachy! It turned out he had Mitochondrial Disease, a genetic illness passed on from the Mom. He spent ten years totally bedridden, and the final year in a nursing home when I could no longer care for him anymore at home. He passed away last Oct at the age of 53. I still resent him pretty much being called a "liar" and ignored. No this illness could not have been cured, but it would have been… nice to know what we were dealing with, and prepare, rather than a doctor who knows nothing and thinks he knows everything, and if he can't treat it with a quick script, he doesn't really give a crap.

Dr. Zumpano and his staff at Cornerstone have been taking care of me and literally saved my life after determining I had major heart issues,etc., and doubt I would be alive if not for Cornerstone and their diagnosis and subsequent help. :)

Making an appointment over the phone is almost impossible. I usually have to listen to the same song for more than 30 minutes before I can get through. They say you can leave a message and they will get back to you, howver, it usually isn't until the end of the day or the next day. If you need to change an appointment on the same day, forget it! The worst part is the wait at the office. I have never waited less than 45 minutes to be seen. You usually have to wait in the waiting area for about 30-45 minutes then they send you to an exam room where you have to wait an additional 30-45 minutes before the Dr comes in. I don't understand how you can have a 10:00 appointment, wait an hour (without anyone have the courtsy to let you know he's running behind) to find out that he is already 1 1/2 hours behind schedule. Dr Zumpano always overbooks his patients. It's like a factory where they have them lined up waiting to get finished. I guess that's a good way to ensure the money… keeps rolling in! I have been seeing Dr. Zumpano for almost two years and it's always been the same. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back; after waiting for more than an hour I informed the staff that I wished to cancel the appointment and not make another; I would be looking for a new Dr. I would not recommend Dr Zumpano to anyone that I know.
