Meet Dr. Anuj James
Dr. Anuj James is a general dentist who joined Village Family Dental in 2002.  He completed highschool in Lumberton before going on to college at UNC Chapel Hill where he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology.  He spent two years in research with the Dental Research Center (UNC-Chapel Hill) and the Unilever Corp. in Port Sunlight, England.  He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of North Carolina in 2002.
His clinical experiences include training at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, Buncombe County Health Center (Asheville, NC) and Upper Cardoza Clinic (Washington D.C.).  Dr. James has published in several journal articles and contributed to two textbook chapters.  He has also presented research at both national and international dental conferences.
He is a member of the ADA, North Carolina Dental Society and the Fayetteville Dental Society.  Dr. James practices all aspects of comprehensive family dentistry and is …always accepting new patients. He provides pro-bono dental care for patients via the Care Clinic. Dr. James has also participated in providing free dental care for children in Nicaragua.
Dr. James is able to provide I.V. Sedation for all dental procedures for those patients with severe gag reflexes or anxiety in which sedation will aide in providing a very comfortable dental experience.  His areas of interest include, esthetic dentistry, root canal therapy and sedation dentistry.
In his free time he enjoys flying model airplanes, playing racquetball and spending time with his family. 
He currently resides in Fayetteville with his wife Sindu, daughter and two sons.
