Dr. Anuj Kumar Malhotra, MD

I’ve been a regular patient of Dr. Anuj for the past couple of years, but unfortunately, I’ve never felt the enthusiasm or care one hopes to see in a doctor. Given my experience, I’m not surprised by the number of negative reviews. Personally, I cannot rely on an arrogant doctor. The struggle begins with simply getting an appointment. I called four months in advance and was told all slots were already booked. When I asked about availability five months out, I was told his calendar wasn’t open yet. You’re expected to call on the exact day the calendar opens—this artificial scarcity creates unnecessary stress and pressure. I followed their instructions and called on the exact date and time they specified, but the calendar still wasn’t open. A week later, I finally secured an appointment—unfortunately, it overlapped with my business trip to Europe. Still, I rearranged my travel to ensure I’d be back in time. I landed in Newark and went straight to Dr. Anuj’s Monroe office, arriving at… 2:45 PM for my 3:00 PM appointment. The receptionist told me I had no appointment. I showed them both the confirmation email and text message. After 30 minutes of back-and-forth, they claimed I had canceled the appointment—which was absurd. Why would I cancel and fly in from Europe just to show up? I even showed them my boarding pass. They couldn’t explain how it was canceled—no record of a call, email, or text from me—yet insisted I had no appointment and would need to reschedule. I pleaded with them, explaining I was here, the doctor was here, and I only needed 5–10 minutes. The clinic staff and nurse were sympathetic and tried to help, but Dr. Anuj was adamant about not seeing me. I even offered to wait until 5 PM for any available slot, but he refused, despite the staff asking him multiple times. I left feeling helpless and deeply disappointed. I couldn’t believe I had trusted such an unaccommodating and inconsiderate doctor with something as important as my health. After years as a patient, there was no courtesy or flexibility shown. I would never recommend Dr. Anuj.

Very rude fellow interested in prescriptions and insurance etc. Appalling bedside manners both doctor and his nursing staff.

Tired of doctor's who have you wait for several minutes only to walk in and rush right back out? Then you need to meet Dr. Malhotra. He spends as much time as you need him to spend with you, carefully listens and answers all your questions. Being a young doctor, he is abreast with all the latest technology and treatment options and makes great use of technology for medical product information and maintaining your medical records. My husband began seeing him and after such great medical care, I began seeing him too. Highly, highly, recommended!

Dr. Malhotra was very thorough and has an excellent bedside manner.
