I was very happy with Dr. Bendre. He did surgery on both of my hands on separate occasions and the outcome was great each time. He has a polite and professional manner and I felt very confident in his diagnosis and procedures. I would recommend him highly.

Dr Bendre and his staff are genuine caring people who go out of their way to make sure that you receive the care you need. I have going to him for YEARS and will continue to in the future.

I have had two surgeries from Dr Bendre. He is very thorough in explaining the issue and the surgical solution. His bedside manner on surgery day is also excllent.

Dr Bendre’s Office staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. They have a policy that you must get them a prior X-ray (if any) two days before your appointment. Why? Take another one. No email is not enough. You must physically drop it off or your appt will be cancelled. How caring and convenient is that for someone already in pinch because of an injury! No cares we’re given that I wasn’t able to drive to warrenville (boondocks) on a weekday while caring for my injured mother. Also the lady answering the phone was rude like I was doing her a favor. Do yourself a favor and go to Rush like we did. Best care we’ve ever received in our lives.

I used to see a different surgeon at this office who has since left the practice - which is sad, because this guy is a fantastic surgeon. During my first appointment with Dr. Bendre, he told me that my previous doctor would have likely recommended ultrasonic therapy (that he called ineffective) or surgery, but that HE would not do such things because HE prefers a more conservative approach. I felt that he was throwing the other doc under the bus. I’d already explained that the pain had been in my arms for a year, but his treatment choice was handing me a sheet of stretching exercises. He said it would take at least anothe long time to feel better.

Dr Bendre is a gentle, caring, supportive person and a fine surgeon. I needed carpal tunnel release surgery on both wrists before I could have a needed hip replacement. Without it, my hip surgeon said, I wouldn't be able to even attempt rehabilitation. I needed surgery, fast. Dr Bendre saw me immediately and did a thorough assessment. He explained the surgery clearly and answered all of my questions. The first surgery was quick and easy. Two weeks later, after successful wrist-hand rehabilitation, Dr Bendre did the second procedure. Again, relief was immediate and rehabilitation short and thorough. I was able to have my hip replacement on schedule and complete a rigorous rehabilitation at Marianjoy. Dr Bendre's skill is evident in my daily life. First, the scars are so tiny that they blend into my palm. I can't find them. Second, it's seven years later and I don't have any numbness, tingling or pain. I would recommend Dr Bendre to anyone needing carpal tunnel surgery.
