Dr. Anuradha Krishne Gowda, MD

I am a PhD scholar in Health Care, specifically Patient-Centered Care. As a brown woman, I am interested in applying skills and time to helping others in my community. If I could give worse stars I would to Dr. Anuradha Gowda. There are two people who work in their private office. We were patients for over a decade due to locality. However, we will be switching doctors. Consistently, we have received rude interactions from the doctor, which I could perhaps undestand as bicultural misunderstanding. However, Pat the receptionist, a White woman who speaks fine English, was disrespectful not one time, but all the times throughout the years that I have called. When I inquired about my Non-English speaking older mother's high blood pressure medication, she gave a huge exasperated sigh. I was trying to inquire about why we needed more blood work in a monotone but firm voice, and she responded that she didn't want to fight and hung up on me. I called back to ask if I could talk about the… doctor and she said no. So what other choice do we have but to switch doctors? I would have like to hold a mature adult conversation with Pat and Dr. Anu but I don't think care to and they certainly don't practice patient-centered care. As a health care industry scholar, their model of operation is 100% fee-for-service, without regard to quality of health care. Please save yourself the trouble and time. You deserve better health care. You deserve a doctor who actually cares about your concerns, inside and out.

Very disappointed with DrGowda. I went for spider vein removal and told him specifically an area I wanted to get rid of which was right down the front of my leg. He picked all around it but never there. I made sure right before the procedure again that I pointed it out. If there was a reason he couldn’t it would have been nice to hear why but he does not speak!! I mean when he was done I wasn’t sure bc he just mumbled and left. I wasted my 700.00. Never again! Staff is great though.

Dr Gowda and her staff are always pleasant and helpful. She offers after work hours, and she knows each of her patients. She takes the time to sit down and talk with each patient, and is always fine with explaining and listening. I have been so lucky to have found her!

When I was diagnosed with bilateral dissected carotid arteries in 2005, Dr. Gowda did everything within her power to see to it that I was taken care of to the Nth degree. For example, she blasted the hospital I was taken to for stating that since it was a Saturday they wouldn't have a tech to do an MRI. The tech showed up in about 30-40 minutes.She also "listens" to everything that is brought up during an office visit, and questions me actively about my health!I can't imagine wanting anything more from a physician these days: a compassionate, aggressive medical professional!

Dr.Gowda was very easy to talk to, made me feel at ease right away. She is very empathetic. Great diagnostician, ordered appropriate tests, did not go over board with them. Office staff friendly, but seemed hurried

Great DoctorOffice staff can be a little short with patients - very concerned with co payment & giving a receipt (which needs updated. My flexible spending account company gives me problems about the generic receipt- also office needs to start accepting credit cards
