Dr. Anusha Suman Chari, DO

Dr Chari was very kind and compassionate, and is so good at what she does. The nurse was great too. Thank you to everyone in the ER at St Francis.

Chari Anusha is a terrible doctor. I advise any woman of color to steer clear and not to trust her judgement. She has a lack of concern or empathy in general when it comes to her patients regardless of color but especially if you’re of color, seek a second opinion or avoid her all together, if possible. I came in for issues with my chest, ear and other concerns. She asked about the supplements I took and just seemed unknowledgeable about basic over the counter supplements and asked if they were prescribed… She said in the beginning of our conversation that she wasn’t going to be able to get to the root cause of my issue. She did the most basic testing ever. I asked her if she could do a pregnancy test just to rule any complications with that out and she said in response, there’s over the counter tests for that. What if I was experiencing a ectopic pregnancy? She literally did the most basic testing possible. I could have taken my own blood pressure at cvs, for free! My blood pressure… was high to which the comment was made I shouldn’t worry about it and it wasn’t even brought to my attention by her. I read the results myself. She was dismissive, arrogant and condescending. I’m not sure how she managed to finish schooling, yet is so incompetent. She inspires me even more to go into medicine because her service today was terrible and she’s failing her community. She’s in the wrong profession. I didn’t receive any blood work. No testing more than very surface level. Yet, she stated she’s here to see if anything is life threatening wrong with me. I feel like she’s a fraud/scam and is just working for a pay check, nothing more. My ears hurt and she simply said I have a cavity, gee thanks. I’m fully aware of the possible nerve connection and the condition of my teeth. She’s not a dentist. All in all, I left in the same condition I arrived. Nothing is better and I have to seek further medical assistance to figure out what is wrong. I could have been seen by my 10 year old sister and received a better analysis, diagnosis and treatment.She made a comment out in the hall “What is wrong with people?” The real question is what is wrong with you?! What kind of Dr or human being are you? Please reevaluate why your even in the field of health!

Dr. Chari was incompetent. She ignored the orders from a referring doctor, missed a sepsis infection, and I ended up in another ER within 24 hours, where I was hospitalized for four days for this condition. Her decision not to process the order for blood cultures from the referring physician cost a day of treatment. I would never return to St. Francis ER I less I truly had no alternative.

Dr. Chari is a wonderful doctor. She is smart and kind. I would see her again!

Dr Chari has very poor communication skills. She was disrespectful and lacked empathy during our visit with her in ER. She raised her voice during the diagnosis and did want to listen to questions / or answer questions in a calm respectful manner. She did not offer support to family members. She created an atmosphere of hostility and anxiety in already difficult situation. Both the patient and family felt uncomfortable under her lack of care.
