Dr. Anvi Kandarp Vora, MD

I do not recommend Dr. Vora. While the staff was pleasant on the phone and she was able to fit me in within a week, I should have read other reviews prior to making the appointment. Dr. Vora was less than engaged and called the care that I received by my previous psychiatrist "sub-optimal". After our 50 min session, it was made known that she did not read any of my medical records from my previous psychiatrist and refused to prescribe me the most basic (non-controlled) medications unless I returned for an additional appointment. Scamming for money??? Do not waste your time and find a doctor outside of this practice.

Wouldn't give me her phone number even though the patient portal wasn't working. It should be illegal for a mental health professional prescribing meds not to give you a way to contact them in an emergency. This is very unusual and I think a sign of her inexperience. She also felt very unimaginative and unsophisticated. At least she seems to have a basic understanding of psychology, the different psychopharmaceuticals and how they work.

FIeve Psychiatry is a terrible practice with insensitive office management. They charge an insane cancellation fee even if they're the ones who told you the wrong appt time. As for the doctor, she doesn't have great bedside manner or an ability to properly treat a patient. She seems inexperienced. There are better doctors out there!
