Dr. Anwuli O Okoli, MD

I returned to Dr. Okoli as soon as I could with my insurance. I saw two other pain doctors, neither one made time to see me as a whole person, with my back affecting all aspects of my life. I drive 2.5 hours to see her, and it is worth the trip. I hope to see her for the rest of my life. She takes the time to ensure that I am satisfied with my medication regimen, making changes as needed. She understands that I have a family and I believe she really cares that my family and I have a full and satisfying life despite my limitations.

I have been a patient of Dr. OKOLI for a few years now and have brought my wife also..Dr.Okoli and her staff, are great people and care about you. I highly recommend Dr.Okoli.She will spend as much time as needed to listen to you and try to help you with your issues.

I previously wrote a glowing review....but you are correct. She has become completely insensitve, and only interested in her fee, not the patient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Okoli for years, and in the beginning was very impressed with her responsiveness and seeming compassion for my problems. As the years have gone by, with no improvement and frankly quite a bit of worsening of my symptoms, I have noticed an almost irritation in her response to me. I pay EXORBITANT prices for my health insurance, and her office charges keep steadily increasing with no real explanation. As I said, in the beginning I felt very confident and comfortable with D. Okoli; now it feels as if she has lost all interest in listening and caring. I don't think it's fair to have to beg for medicine that has been proven to be helpful, literally the ONLY thing that is helpful to someone who suffers with extreme pain 24 hours a day.

As a Dr. of pharmacy with failed back-surgery syndrome, and severe degenerative disc disease I feel qualified to make a comment.Dr. Okoli is most compassionate and willing to spend as much time as you need to sort out complicated pain issues.She has the desire to be on top of the latest treatments as evidenced by her taking a year out of her private practice to refresh her knowledge base accomplishing a specialized residency program in anesthesiology at Northwestern Medical School.She works diligently with each patient to find the most effective combination of physical therapy, pain medication management and life-style modifications.

I've seen quite a few pain physicians in my life. Dr Okoli is one of the best. She is caring & understanding, but conservative. She does not over medicate just because that's the easiest answer. She is there for you even if you need extended care. I highly recommend Dr Anwuli Okoli.

She is extremely rude. No bedside manner and should be deported.

Worst Pain Doctor Ever!! Hope you don't need to be seen soon, or have her care about you. Completely uncaring of patient's needs. So full of herself it is scary.
