Dr. Aparajitha Verma

Dr. Verma is a lovely, thorough physician. She diagnosed my issue quickly, when two other doctors could not. Her staff will be the reason I leave the practice. It's virtually impossible to get a phone call returned. It takes a solid week to get a prescription refilled. Portal messages show 'read by staff' but are not responded to. Too many patients and not enough staff.

Waste of your time and money. Unresponsive office, hard to get through to, unwilling to try different medicines when Lunesta doesn't work, and prescribes you expensive and ineffective CBT that does nothing more than give you useless coloring sheets and tells you to do breathing exercises.

I had a sleep study done at Houston Methodist which was ordered by Dr. Verma. Her office called me the following week and said I needed CPAP. I asked for a copy of the report on the sleep study and was told that I could not have it but that if I would schedule another expensive appointment she would explain it to me. That was several years ago and I still have not received the report or any explanation of the results of the study and my symptoms continue. I have a legal right to copies of my medical records but her office flatly refused to let me have them and I still don't have them to this day.

She is a very busy doctor, hard to get things done through her office.

I have been seeing Dr. Verma for at least 5 years and find that she is not just interested in as someone with sleep apnea and RBD's but as a complete person. I am happy to have her on my medical team.

I don't have sleep apnea but severe insomnia. Still Dr Verma insisted I try CPAP. CPAP never helped and Dr Verma was totally uninterested in trying to figure out what was wrong. She has the worst bedside manner and is rude and impatient.

The only thing she wants to do is give patients a CPAP. I haven't slept in 20 years - I'm average height and weight, with no central apnea, but instead of trying to figure out what's wrong with me she told me the only thing that would help would be CPAP. When I asked if she would run tests for various things, she said "We're not going to look for zebras". With her, it's CPAP or nothing. She doesn't actually DO anything. Totally pointless doctor. One of the worst I have ever seen. After two pointless appointments where she didn't do anything, she wants to see me for a follow up. To do more of nothing. Greedy.
