Dr. Apollo Yuen Leong, MD

I am 64 yrs. old and worked for Kroger/ Atlas Warehouse for 35 yrs. in WV and Va. Dr. Leong is my primary care physician. In my lifetime I have never had a better Dr. than Apollo Leong. Mannerism, Knowledge, Kindness, Compassion, Promptness, Takes tremendous care of my everyday and immediate needs and with my patient info. He comes up with preventive medicine or ideas that make my quality of life so much better. This Man was born to be a Dr. and so many peoples’ lives are better because of him. As you have helped me to enjoy a 6yr. and 8 yr. old little boy and girl by keeping me going, I just want to say Thank You and bless You and your family, Dr. Leong. I have had Dr. Leong as my physician for quite a few years now. He listens and cares about his patients, he never rushes through a consult. He makes me feel as if my appointment is important to him!

I had one apt. with this doctor and it will be the only and last apt. I ever have with him. he doesn't care about his patients at all, he is very rude and didn't care to help me or refer me out to someone who could. think twice before ever seeing this doctor!!

He was extremely rude to the point mocking my attempt to describe my pain. As I started to explain, he tapped his watch, told me to hurry up because and said he had only 5 minutes per patient. No test. Just a mocking attitude. Was eventually diagnosed by a real Medical Doctor who gave me the urgent care I needed.

Great doctor

Dr. Leong is very smart, straight forward, humorous and accurate. He makes me feel that I am the only patient in the world.

I have had mutual patients with Dr. Leong for 15 years. He an excellent physicians and all of his patients love him. He is very thorough, kind and approachable. I highly recommend him.

He is an intelligent doctor and makes a good first impression. Beyond the initial visit, I began to question his competency more and more over the 2 years or so that I was his patient. He seemed more focused on his new restaurant than he did on my health issues, never bothering to address some of my principle health concerns. Most of the time he never examined me; he just held the chart and said the same things as the previous visits. I felt like he wanted to keep the visit as absolutely short as possible, tell me to keep taking my medicine, and lose a little more weight so that he could get back to whatever was more important to him than me, his patient. While, he might be okay for a relatively healthy person who gets a yearly sinus infection or suffers seasonal allergies, I would NOT recommend him for anyone with a serious medical condition.

Excellent doctor! Listens and spends the time to talk to you. Seems very knowledgable and isn't just trying to schedule frequent follow ups for no reason like some doctors. Very friendly and caring.

Refused to do necessary testing to diagnose an endocrine problem. Like most doctors in the Roanoke area, he leaves much to be desired.
