Dr. April Dawn Hubbard

I attended a hearing test and exam with my Aunt to help with language translation - she understands and speaks English but there is a bit of an accent that sometimes is a barrier for certain providers. She works retail and speaks English all day so her fluency is fine. Dr. Hubbard did not give us any advice on how to proceed. Her notes did not match the discussion. She confirmed in the notes that my aunt had hearing difficulties but also stated that she did not understand English and has a heavy accent. Dr. Hubbard stated (not recommended - she stated) in her notes that hearing aides would not be helpful because she doesn't understand English. Are you kidding me? Even if that were true - how about understanding family or others who speak her native language? She was not only insulting but also did not give us any recommendations for next steps.
