Dr. April Elaine Kilgore, MD

Let me start off by saying I have used Dr Kilgore for two of my kids and she’s always been very kind. The issue I have always had is the office she is out of NEVER picks up the phone you get transferred all around or have to leave a voice mail and never get a returned phone call. The whole check in process is a complete joke. You have to walk in check in with someone down stairs pay your copay then walk up stairs and check in again?? What’s the point? -Today I had a appointment at 02:00 by the time I got my 6 month old out of the car and to the first check in it was probably 2:05 as I’m trying to check in it won’t allow me, so the lady behind the desk says she not logged in to give her a second. So she finally gets logged in and she says okay looks like you have a copay before you can check in I agree yes I know and she try’s to set it up to let me pay and her card reader will not turn on. Remind you I Am not able to “check in” till this is paid??! So she restarts the system and… says okay it should work this time, again nothing.. she said I’ll be right back I need to go get someone to help with this. She comes back to tell me I will have to go check in with someone else because hers isn’t working. Okay... np I go down to someone else for help goes smooth. I go to try to check in now that my copay is finally paid and it says I can no longer check in for my appointment it’s past my time. The lady says on I will just check you in since it was the counters fault I go upstairs to check in the front desk says nothing about missing the appointment. Let’s me sit there another 20 minutes then tells me I will need to reschedule because I missed my appointment. Please tell me how their system messing up and not allowing me to check in was my fault!? I explained this to the clerk and she went and got someone from the back to tell me I will have to reschedule. I’m heated and this point. I’m not a mom that gets to stay home with her kids I have to go work 45+ hours a week I can’t be taking off work to convenience the doctors because THIER system doesn’t work. I will not be returning this has been the worst experience I have ever had with a doctors office. I understand having computer issues but you do not put that on your Patients as if it’s their fault. Un expectable.
