Dr. April Linnette Marquardt, MD

This was my 3rd visit. I drive over an hour to see her, recommendation from my Primary whom I respect and who truly cares. I was not impressed initially but tried to give her a chance. I found her glib, dismissive and uneducated. I have been dealing with autoimmune issues for over 50 years...currently primarily arthritis and fibromyalgia. I have been suffering with horrible muscle spasms and cramping in my legs, worsening over the last 6 months. He first glib question was ‘have you ever tried Magnesium?’. I have been on magnesium for 2 years, which was in my chart and verified by her assistant. Then, ‘maybe a muscle relaxer would help’...Maybe? It felt like she was guessing. Never once questioning Why this might be happening. Iam also scheduled for a surgery on my foot for the removal of a damaged nerve. I asked what i should do preemptively to prepare for the surgery...since at risk for a flare up. She shrugged her shoulders and said idk...you can increase your lyrica if you want.… I...me, myself and I, Requested a prednisone refill to manage my flares. I handle my health VERY seriously with nutrition, exercise, meditation, Accupuncture, message...taking as few medications as possible in fear of liver damage and side effects. That was never a priority for her. She said ‘you are doing more than 99% of my patients to care for your conditions’. If she was at a loss on how to help me I would have rather she said so honestly and dismissed me as her patient. If you want a pill popper Dr that doesn’t care to get to the root cause of your issues...she is the Dr for you. Very disappointed.

After receiving poor treatment from other doctors in Las Vegas, I was finally referred to Dr. Marquardt. She has helped me when other doctors could not. She is a true example of a great doctor. Very caring about her patients. Takes as much time as needed. Staff is also very caring.

Dr. Marquardt is an amazing and caring doctor. When I was deathly ill she was the only Rhuematologist that would see me. Long and short, she not only diagnosed my rare disease but has put me on the road to better health and remission. Dr. Marquardt has called me from home, on her day off, to help me! Thank God for this wonderful lady!

and this is one of them! HIGHLY recommend her! Have had LONG standing medical issues that are potentially lethal and no one has been able to recognize it. I walked in, first visit, and she nailed it right away. So impressive in her knowledge AND her ability to LISTEN. Can not say enough great things about her. Have seen a few hematologists and rheumatologists in my quest for a diagnosis over the course of more than a decade and I have only found one other as caring and intelligent as her. This is what a real doc looks like.
