Dr. April Ann Silva, MD

I saw Dr. Silva at Doctors Hospital Emergency Room. Dr. Silva met me shortly after I arrived, basically to inform me she would be seeing me a bit later. She was the only physician on duty that evening and the emergency room was very busy with several life threatening situations. When I finally saw Dr. Silva, she apologized for the long wait, briefly explained why and I basically ate crow for being impatient for the long wait for forehead stiches when she was working to save several patients lives. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and took care of my needs very quickly and thoroughly. She made some suggestions regarding my followups and she was right on the button with her interpretation of my blood workup, as I'd just had that done a week prior. She's great. I highly recommend her.

She is actually the worst doctor I have ever encountered. I am 19 and knew more about where a kidney was than her. Please save your time and ask for another doctor, she is AWFUL. I can’t express enough how bad of an experience I had. Don’t even bother.

Worst bedside manners I've ever seen in a doctor. At 3am she came in to give me my results first approaches me and my family as "what's up" I tell her what's going on she told me what she apparently saw but refused to acknowledge another finding from another test I had received and gave my dad a nasty attitude back when asked about it. I was going to stay overnight so I could be monitored because I had severe pain. She left the room practically in disgust at me after I started crying from frustration. Then when she came back in she kept talking over me aggressively asking why I was changing my mind about staying and I kept trying to tell her nothing personal but she kept getting louder and shaking her head at me. After I asked to be discharged, she and her colleagues were standing around talking about me very clearly in a circle and at one point her and 2 other workers just peered into my room all staring at me at the same time with the dirtiest look like they just had a nice chat… about me . I work as a manager in retail and have met some nasty customers but I would NEVER talk to them the way she spoke to me. So rude and extremely full of herself. Didn't know what she was talking about when confronted and clearly got offended. I wanted another doctor but sadly she was the only one available. Horrible horrible experience. I left there feeling like a victim of bullying and harassment from her. Never again!!!!!!
