I just had a stay at the Aurora center and Dr Aqeel Muhammad was my psychiatrist. I was reading reviews because of my terrible encounter with him. One person hit the nail on the head. He simply should not be working with fragile patients. He belittle's people. He had about 4 other patients in the same ward that he did the same thing to during my stay. He flaunts his "smarts" and makes you feel like you know nothing. Quite simply, he is a bully and should not have the position he is in

Aqeel shoved a piece of paper in my face and said "Are you gonna take it?" while gloating about his medication override win in court. He was rude to me. I went through three weeks of convulsing. It is evil to forcibly medicate a person. The medication had been ruled out but they told me that since my tardive dyskinesia symptoms weren't current plaguing me that it wasn't tardive dyskinesia and away we go!

During my hospitalization Dr. Muhammad made sure I got the care I needed. Each day Dr.Muhammad would ask me after our conversations “ How do you think your treatment is going”. I really felt he cared about me . I would recommend him.

Dr Muhammad was not only professional, he was attentive and compassionate. He helped with the right medications for my treatment. The other staff was poor but he was great.

He should nit be working with fragile patients. He is an egomaniac and a bully.

"DR." Muhammad is a quack. He only cares about giving meds and is extremely dissmissive. He will laugh at you and use movie quotes in your exam as if you're too stupid to know it. His bedside manner is terrible and he spends more time flirting with staff then practicing real medicine.
