Dr. Aqib Mudassar, DDS

I heard through a friend how she got some vanity cosmetic work done from this dentist at about half off price all you need to do is tell him that you were recommended by a friend. I already had dental insurance and since I was in the neighborhood of looking for a new dentist anyways and decided that I would go get my teeth cleaned and check out this dentist, Aqib Mudassar. My first appointment was x-rays and alil picking and poking at my teeth-no cleaning was done. Next appointment he said I needed to make another appointment to have my wisdom teeth all four of them taken out for "preventative measures" . I haven't had any problems with them ever since they all were out and didn't bother me or my smile in the first place and again-no cleaning was done. Next appointment I made I wanted to get my teeth cleaned and I would think about getting my wisdom teeth pulled at a later date because I wasn't ready to go through that yet. At this 3rd appt I thought I was gonna get my teeth cleaned… since that's what I had initially made the first appt for so as i'm seated there he said there was a filling he had to fix and as he's drilling my top tooth he turns and starts talking to one of his assistants and drills right through my tooth and I gripped the arms of the chair and pulled myself upwards and yelped in pain to hopefully dislodge his drill that had hit a nerve! I was in so much pain and he apologized like it was not a big deal and I asked him to stop so I could wipe the tears coming from my eyes and didn't want him to go any further. He insisted on checking the rest of my teeth and did some more x-rays. Still no cleaning. Soon after that appt my tooth that he drilled through was so sensitive to hot or cold anything or simply just chewing on that side. So I called his office and told them I needed to be seen right away because I couldn't bare the pain I felt or even eat. So I'm in the office again and numbs up my mouth and I ask him what was he gonna do and he says he has to do a root canal and after it was gonna be capped with a metal cap! I didn't know nor did I want metal cap on my tooth so close to the front. I didn't want anyone to see a metal cap when I talked or seeing a metal cap for the first time meeting someone. I was never told I was gonna be given a root canal nor did they even explain to me what a root canal was or given the choice of a metal or porcelain colored cap which I would need to fill out some form to see if I qualified for to help pay for a porcelain cap or pay out of pocket. Needless to say I refused any more "preventative measures" and his staff tried to talk me out of leaving but I did and haven't went back. My tooth has rotted and is so awful to look at but if he would of just cleaned my teeth like I had originally went in for things may be a lot different now. Stay away!
