My daughter was going to OCC Smiles orthodontist doctor office for a couple years and getting her braces done. They were first located in Porter Ranch before they moved to Granada Hills close to my daughters High School. The orthodontist doctor my daughter visited was nice and she has nothing but good things to say about him. This office staff is a completely different story. There were times she would be a few mins late to her appointment and the office staff would refuse to accept her. But when on time she had wait for a while but that is not a big issue. The main issue started when my daughter's mother moved away and we needed to change the insurance company information to be under my name. I have always allowed my daughter to take ownership of her things to prepare for life challenges that will soon come in her journey. My daughter contacted the office to do the change of insurance and someone from the office staff told her that a note was placed on her profile account that… reads "Do not provide insurance information" which is fine. My daughter made an appointment for a Friday at 4 PM and she asked me that I needed to be there to provide the new insurance information, meet the doctor and agree to the payment plan as per the office staff. When we arrived, I overheard my daughter being told that there was no appointment scheduled. Feeling like my daughter was not being treated nice, I stood up and asked why she was told to show up and given a scheduled date and time? The office staff lady had no answer but the only thing she can say is that there is a note in her account that reads “Do not release no insurance information”. Again no one is asking for information about previous insurance, so I asked to speak to the office manager but the lady stated she was not in and will have an office manager contact me on Monday so we left without accomplishing anything. Next day, Saturday early morning had two missed calls by Silvia office manager. I called back when I had the chance. Silvia lectured me like if I was a child and with a proudly negative tone informed me that my daughter will not be seen by the doctor because of my complaining to the staff lady about their incompetence and for wasting our time. Needless to say, this office has lost their purpose of “SERVICING” the community which sometimes is due to their clientele volume, lack of humble attitude and leadership within their staff. We will make sure NOT to recommend this doctor’s office to family and friends. Thanks for reading.

Do not trust the positive reviews for this SO CALLED doctor. Has ripped off many patients and treats all of his employees VERY unfair. Many of his employees have quit on him before he can fire them because of the POOR pay and un-professionalism way he treats his employees. Doctor thinks he can get away with many things just because his so called CHEATING wife is a lawyer and thinks she knows her laws to protect his business. No one has stepped up to the plate to protect their rights working with him by the California rules but someday someone will have the courage and maybe shut his offices completely when the business bureau finds out.
