Dr. Ara Samuel Makdessian, MD

Dr Makdessian is hands down the best. I saw him last week. I would recommend him, and do, to anyone having problems with their ears. I would love to find a family doctor like him.

I am giving Makdessian and him only five stars. He diagnosed my son very quickly and put him down for surgery. His office staff (minus the surgical planner) are VERY rude and entitled. I found myself biting my tongue any time that I called the office or the one time that I went into the office. The day of surgery arrives. The staff from that point on where phenomenal. (Not his office staff, the staff who checked us in and prepped him in for surgery. ) All questions were answered with care and they were just lovely. The anesthesiologist as well as Makdessian talked to us before the surgery. They had him in and out in no time. I am a parent who overthinks and not one time was I doubting the staff when he was taken out of my arms. Then comes the moment we were called to the recovery room. Every single nurse that we encountered, minus the one who was working with my son, were straight brats. One acted as if my son who was crying hysterically was a nuisance to her. She definitely made us… feel unwanted. At one point I overheard her saying something about a child’s cry can be equivalent to PTSD triggering and that it’s not fair. I could’ve easily misunderstood what she was talking about but considering my son was the only one who was crying, take that as you will. She also jumped on to my husband for answering a phone call in which he was telling an extremely worried family member that our son was awake and was not allergic to the anesthesia. How was he supposed to know he wasn’t allowed to answer a phone call? There were zero signs in our area. I was more than glad to leave that recovery room. As we were leaving, a patient waking up from surgery and who was confused, was also being treated rudely and as if she were stupid for reacting the way she did when she woke up from being put to sleep. Everyone should expect their nurses in this department to be understanding and caring. Not like bothered teenagers who are being forced to work. I hope this is the last procedure my son will have because I do not want to deal with any office staff or recovery staff again.

I really like Dr. .McDessian and his staff. He located the cancer in my mouth, set a surgery date and has worked trying to get medical clearance through my lung specialist. His staff has been extremely nice and courteous during my treatment plan.

I have been a patient about five years + and have received excellent care. But...his office is always busy and full.

The allergy department is the only saving grace of this place.

Was very satisfied with my experience at this office. Staff was very nice and made you feel welcomed. The doctor himself had excellent bedside manners and was able to accurately diagnose my condition. I have been following his treatment recommendations and feel much better already. Would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Makdessian is a very good doctor who is very caring and smart. He diagnosed my mother's rare condition when her heart and lung doctors could not. He and his staff are excellent, caring and very courteous. I have also seen him for my allergies. He has helped a lot with my hay fever.

Dr. Ara Samuel Makdessian overall, is not an ok doctor. He diagnosed my child well. However, is staff and he himself are not very professional and rude. They have no problem being disrespectful. Also, they have temper's. They will get angry easily if you are not understanding what they are explaining. I would not recommend them, unless you like this kind of particular kind of care being given. I will be requesting for my family doctor to move us to another doctor.
