Aram Shahinyan, MD is an Anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Management physician. He is double board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by The American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Shahinyan specializes in chronic spine pain and other painful conditions such as nerve pain (neuropathic pain), chronic pelvic and abdominal pain, complex regional pain syndrome, also known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy, pain due to osteoarthritis of knee/hip/shoulder, as well as pain after neck or back surgeries.Dr. Shahinyan completed his training in Pain Medicine at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, getting instruction from the leading experts in Pain Medicine. After fellowship, he practiced at Geisinger Medical Center, one of the nation's best healthcare systems, before relocating to the Capital.His expertise includes a wide range of pain management treatments performed under imaging guidance, such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint treatments, …radiofrequency ablations, nerve blocks and joint procedures for cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis. He utilizes cutting-edge technologies to help improve the quality of life of patients with chronic pain.
