Dr. Arash Darvish, MD

I've had a few run-ins with this doctor over the years, off and on. A few times for bowel obstructions, sepsis, and other things that paraplegics go through. Not only is he hateful, but he also seems to treat just about everyone around him like Dirt. He doesn't seem to understand pain, pain management, or the "1-10" pain scale, as do a lot of the Rent-A-Doctors at Regional now. The nurses were magnificent but Dr. Darvish and a majority of your hire-ins from out of state/country seem to only be coming here for the money, not for the help their degrees provide.. Bring back local doctor rotations and do away with this Rental Agency stuff. It's not healthy, especially for a state Capitol Hospital like Kentucky, where you have to go 60 miles in either direction for half-way decent medical treatment. Dr. Darvish doesn't need to be running anything no less a hospital/treatment center... I'd also suggest if you CAN make it to Louisville or Lexington, do so, because 9 times out of 10, he's… going to send you to another hospital anyway when he doesn't feel like fooling with you. Then you have to compete with multiple hospitals' bills, transports, and largely for a lot of little stuff like infections and so on that they used to do in the 90s when Local Doctors rotated in and out.... P.S. Make sure you have a caretaker present when dealing with Dr. Darvish. He doesn't seem to care what he says or does as long as it gets him out of the room and out of his hair....

In the few experiences, I've had with him at Frankfort regional. He was not only hateful and impatient with patients, but seems to go out of his way to treat nurses and other doctors like crap. He also seems to be big on treating people in situations that call for pain medications like trash or addicts. Personally, he seems burnt out and hateful, and like he doesn't need to be practicing any longer. especially when it comes to handicapped individuals..
